Do you have to include 1099 form with return or no?

Do you have to actually show the 1099 forms to your CPA or is it enough to give the total income with everything included? I'd rather not have to hand them over if I can avoid it.

I remember being told that it's not necessary because you don't have to actually mail the 1099 forms in to the IRS and because 90 percent of the 1099's I received from sponsors says "Copy B for Recipient" and they don't even have a separate copy to file with the tax form, so it's just for my records, so therefore I assume I don't have to show them to the CPA and include them with my return.

Is this correct?

My CPA never asked for them last year at all, I still want to make sure though because I have different CPA this yr.

You file electronically, don't you? You don't mail anything in. Your CPA should return them to you with all your tax records when s/he is done. Make sure you keep everything just in case you get audited, though.

Yes, electronically, but is it enough for me to give my cpa the total amount without having to show the actual forms to him? I would prefer this if possible.

Will the CPA need to know the exact name of every company on the 1099 and the amount for each one or can I just give him the total amount.

Part of the reason why I don't want to/can't show it to them is

1. I lost a bunch of 1099's from companies I know 100 percent sent them to me, I just can't find them, I searched the whole house and it's possible that I somehow accidentally threw some out while cleaning the house. I am missing like at least 3 forms. Either that or it's hidden somewhere and I just forgot where I put it.

2. Because I don't want the cpa to be nosy and look at the company names etc

1. You should be able to trust your CPA or whoever does your taxes, mine gives fuck all that it is adult.
2. They just need totals and showing them the 1099's is moot.
3. How did you get so many 1099's, I promote about 200 different sites and I only got 4. Most sponsors never send them.

I dont know how I got so many 1099's. I promote mainly big U.S sponsors and they ALL send me 1099's. I promote a lot less than 200 sponsors, WAY less and I have 7 1099's here that I can find. I am missing 1099's from NaughtyAmerica, BangbrosOnline, Jaymancash , and a bunch more other programs. I know for a FACT Naughtyamerica , Bangbros and Jaymancash sent me 1099's because I remember getting them in the mail, PLUS I got 1099's from those companies back in 2006 (I still have those) I just cant find the 2007 in the house, I might have accidentally threw them away when cleaning.
