That site is proof that just because you have a lot of money doesn't mean you are competent.

its pretty obvious----mainsteam---look at the adds---national lampoon movies, jeans.com....

it could be that your short sighted and they may be making major bank

other point is they could be doing soft porn industry a HUGE favor by getting MAINSTREAM COMPANIES to advertise on pages that also advertise porn..

I remember I bought $100 in PPC traffic but never used it, maybe I'll get a refund

Actually, that site is proof what exactly domain names by themselves are worth.

I just found a really old article (2003) I wrote about sex.com PPC for Xbiz.com.

http://www.xbiz.com/articles/1957

Times change so quickly.

history lesson for the all naive

sex.com in late 90's and possibly 2000 sold banner space for 7 figures per month...thats over a Million cash per month....

that was then..

If you just sold banner space now to porn sites its worth not even 10% of that

Only way for owner to make sex.com profitable by price he paid is too think OUTSIDE box and HAVE balls and follow a well THOUGHT out plan...

TO just sell porn adds in the situation the domain is in would be causting you MILLIONS in future revenues because of your delay in doing it the right way....

WIth all your ideas "just the adult way" the domain has way less values to mainstream media...he is trying to figure out how to brand I believe.....make a site where chicks will go to....

your way of thinking is like taking a JOB knowing you could never make more.....They have the bank to not care and go for broke...make a maxim or playboy type of place...

Most likely it wont work...But with what adult add spce is worth on the domain it might take 15 years to break even...I LOVE WHAT HE IS TRYING TO DO..IT JUST MAKES BIZ SENSE...

everyone screaming I would do this I would do that is just fucken clueless...there is no straight Porn site that could earn what sex.com needs...PORN.com is different...ITS WAY MORE POINTED.....Sex needs.com to be built into whatever brand it wants to be...
