the gas thing is gettin re-goddamn-diculous

I filled up my Xterra at a Shell yesterday with some $3.97 per gallon gas. Today, as I drove by the station the price was now at $4.05.

8 fucking cents in one day? The world is coming to an end, I say.

Can someone smarter than me please explain why gas/oil is so expensive, while Big Oil is posting ridiculous record profits? They are fucking pirates and need to be stopped.

in BC the gas prices would fluctuate 20 cents in a few hours. Don't complain about 8 cents in one day...try 80 cents in 3 hours for that gallon.

And again. $8+ in europe. Enjoy your $4 petrol while it lasts my friend...Americans need to learn that you have DIRT CHEAP GAS. You've been conditioned into thinking it should be $2.50.

I like it. The higher it gets the more the idiots who are too dumb to afford it won't be able to drive.

Monday I'm heading out of town for a funeral. It's about a three hour drive. I'm sure that by the time I'm done with it, I could have flown clear down to SOCAL for less money then I'll be spending to drive 120 miles, but whatever.

you think idiots stop driving? They are still out there. Now they just drive faster since they are idiots and think if they can get there faster then the car is running less which means less gas used hahhaa

some advisers that I have been listening to are saying 7 to 10 dollars a gallon in US may happen by the end of the summer. I dont think it will get that high but it will make the $5 mark. Luck for us inflation is only 2.something percent, so says the fed

$4 per gallon will be a minor speed bump to $5+

They will condition us at $5 per gallon. We will be wishing gas was $4 per gallon and will be happy with the $4 range once the dust settles.

You want to know why the price is so high. Look to Washington DC. Bush is from an OIL family.

Sorry to disappoint you all thinking if when Bush leaves gas prices will go back down. The gas prices will not go back down until the dollar starts to rebound and the dollar will not have a strong rebound until the fed starts to raise rates and even then that might not work.

Everytime you fill up your tank and think $4/gallon is expensive, just think about how in Europe they're paying over $10 dollars per gallon.

and next time you fill up in Europe think about how expensive it would be for European countries to build their own armies if the US pulls all troops out of Europe like we should.

Lets not forget traders in the oil market are bidding it up as well. Supply and demand is one thing but there appears to be a bit of a disconnect at this time.

Wow, what a stupid post. There are a lot of hard working good people out there who your elitist holier than thou ass might think are idiots who don't have the luxury of making "big" money in porn. Doesn't mean they don't deserve to be able to drive. These are the kinds of people paying your bills guy.

Some people deserve to pay $20 a gallon.

I went to my local shopping center yesterday day and noticed a car outside a Home Depot with its engine running and no one inside, no baby, no dogs, no food! I went inside to buy some shelving and tools came out an hour and a half later to find the car still empty with its engine still running ?

Im not sure of the laws in California relating to this but in the UK its illegal to leave a car running and unoccupied not to mention the stupid waste of gas, all to keep the car interior cool until the owner returns. Its idiots like this that deserve to pay $20 a gallon or more. Or how about the fuckers who drive around at Costco's for ages trying to get as close as possible to the exit or jam up the parking lot waiting for someone close to the exit to leave.

People need to wake up and get some fucking exercise walk a hundred yards save some gas and stop complaining, bunch of fucking assholes!!!

What a lot of people that aren't in US don't understand:
Most cities do NOT have an intricate subway system, bus stops, etc. That is why we consume so much oil. Getting around in Vegas without a car is next to impossible unless you live within the city. Living in any suburb is next to impossible if you want to get anywhere within 2 hours using public transit.

If I lived in a place like SF, I'd need no car. I'd be fine with cable cars and a car to take if I decide to get out of the city for anything.
