Thinking of buying the 2003 Subaru WRX 2.0 Spec 1... any opinions?

It's the WRX special edition with 17" wheels, exclusive yellow paint job and engine guages to watch the turbo. It's a really nice car and runs for $39k Canadian or about $28kUSD. Anyone read anything good or bad about this car?

I saw a really nice one of those outside Brandi's in Vancity last night!

I am personally looking at the new Pathfinder SE. I just can't find one I want in the right color.

I have an all black R/T and I love it. For a big-assed SUV it hauls ass, sounds great, and rides very nice ( although the gas mileage is horrible. ). Just installed an in-dash MP3 player too.

I know...I'm one of "THOSE" SUV owners that doesn't care about the environment, but...my other car is a 2001 VW turbo Beetle that gets great gas mileage, so, it sorta evens things out

in feb 2002, i scored the new SE-R Spec V from Nissan and got a custom red/black leather seat job, all for C$26,000+ taxes

it's the best bang for hp (175hp and 180 ft.lb torque) for the price, and also comes all tricked out with 17" mags, 6-speed manual, rockford fosgate 10-speaker system with trunk-mounted 10" sub, etc...

i love it and it's way fast (7.1 secs) although not as fast as yours tho (5.3 i believe)

however, i also get to keep about C$15,000 in my pocket to spend on whores... LOL

The WRX is a great "little" four door rally car for both the summer time and rockin' in the snow. Incredible handling, but if you're going to get it don't even consider the automatic. Totally rob's the perfomance from the turbo and really takes away from the car. It's a good car though.
Throw on a rack and some intake mods and you're smoking all the way up to the snow.

Subaru is nice, but I prefer Porsche ... Don't know why exactly, but I simply adore it since the very childhood...

I think its a great little sports sedan, and it is REALLY quick, especially if you add mods. For 28k, your also in the Maxima price range(255HP), even a TL type S(260HP). But if your looking for a allwheel drive car that is quick of the line, this is the car for you (or the 42k Audi S4). I would however only consider it with a manual trasmission, otherwise go for the TL type S.

try to get the STi 22b if ur looking to smoke everything in ur class

u should get a turbo timer to preserve turbo & engine life, maybe new intake/filter to add a nice hissing sound and impress the ricers and not fuk ur warranty

subaru is a gr8 car, not worth 28k tho unless it's more than US stock cuz i think the car is much cheaper here

awd = makes any driver look like a pro

1 - WRX is only man from whut i know (any true rally car, duh)

2 - 3" tip fucking SUCKS ... get a harley equally noise polluting

intake and maybe a flowmaster/something but keep ur tip within stock bounds it makes a nice low grumble without that fart-ripping ricer trademark

exhaust system cost: 800-1200
hp benefit: 3-5 (if your lucky)
