portable air conditioners

Do alot of work at home and have 2 zone ac. I hate trying to cool down the whole upstairs for one room. Has anyone here used the portable ac units? I cant use window units because its a fucking condo. If someone has, how was it on electric?

where does the hotair go on those? i have only used a widow unit once in an attic situation.

it goes out of a vent that attaches to the window is its not hanging out of it.

I have one. It worked great but it ended up running me probably $80-100/month to run full-time last summer... granted, I had terrible insulation. You may fare better.
