Moniker Accepting Domain Submissions for Internext Auctions
Submission period continues through June 18.

HOLLYWOOD, Fla. - Moniker will accept domain submissions for its Internext Summer adult domain auctions through Wednesday, June 18.
The live auction will be held from 2-5 p.m. Friday, Aug. 8, in Regency Ballrooms 2 and 3 at the Westin Diplomat Resort and Spa in Hollywood, Fla.

"We are extremely pleased to be bringing back, for the fourth time, the world's only adult-centric domain auction to Internext in August," said Farley Cahen, vice president of licensing and business development for AVN Media Network. "The adult marketplace is growing ever more competitive. Companies are realizing that high-quality domain names increase their brand value both in and outside the industry."

Here's a rumor that I haven't been able to get anyone to answer direct yet. So, heads up. Apparently, there's a 2-year period where if you sell your name with anyone else.. you owe Moniker their commission.

If you sign your name with Moniker for a Traffic auction, you are locked in for 120 days. The last 15-days of that 120 day period, you can request in writing not to renew perpetually. You're still liable to pay them the commission if you sell your name a year later to someone else without using Moniker during the 2 years however.

If anyone gets a straight answer on this, that'd be great.

Have you tried reading the contract? I guess it would be in there if it were true.

It's the Non Circumvent clause I am referring to. It was posted on another forum, so I can't link you to it. I posted and ased if that's what it really meant, but they didn't reply. So it's at the very least, something to consider when you submit your names. You might be locked into sharing 20% commission with Moniker for 2 years even if they don't try to sell the name.

Depends on the name and the final price. Afternic and Sedo are closer to 10% but more if you use their broker services. Snapnames is 20% but varies depending on the final price of the name I think. Some individual brokers also charge from 5% to 20%, depending.

I know what fourm you're speaking of, and I think it's true. Why do you think they didn't answer you?

To address your comment/concerns about the Non Circumvent clause - You can get out of the agreement IF you notify us in writing after the auction...assuming your name does not sell.

The non circumvent is only if moniker introduced the seller to you or is responsible for the lead. Atleast that was what it use to be when they first started taking names for the targeted traffic auctions. That was what was stated on the few i signed.
