wacky news of Tim Russert's death

So I'm listening to the radio and they do the news - and they use Wikipedia as their news source - they said Tim Russert has apparently died of an obesity related heart attack.

never heard anybody's death from a heart attack ever described as 'obesity related' even when the person is huge.

Aren't most heart attacks obesity related? I don't think there's anything wrong with pointing that out, encourages people to live healthier lifestyles.

This has probably been his busiest 2 years in his entire life. The poor guy was probably stressed out of his mind. If anyone could have handled it I would have thought it would be him.

Um no and specially not if the people having them are not obese. Check out some stats that go along with healthy people and heart attacks, females and heart attacks, and so forth.

I also think that is a bit judgemental and quick to decide specially before an autopsy. What if it was a clot, what if it was just cholesterol blockage (not just fat people), weak heart muscle, bad valve, and the list could go on.

what surprised me was that a radio station used Wikipedia as their source - Wikipedia reported it as an obesity related heart attack. The way Wikipedia works somebody could have run to Wikipedia and written Tim Russert Died of A Heart Attack Brought on By Massive Farting

Wikipedia i see has edited the story and now has that Russert had diabetes.

That is so very true. While in general, obesity increases the chance of a heart attack, let's not turn a higher probability into a verdict here. It's not only about what you look like on the outside, but also how well things are working on the inside.

He seemed like a good man. I just hope some devil-spawned weasel does not take over his position at Meet The Press.

Not really. A heart attack is basically just the heart stopping and it can be caused by numerous things. People of all health, weight and age drop dead from heart attacks everyday, we just obviously dont hear about them all because they arent famous.
