Why would you care what their .com is doing? Are you wondering if it is indicative of traffic to their join forms or something? This alexa graphic doesn't take into account what is going through secure and sub domains (https - join forms) (bill.ccbill) (affiliateadmin.ccbill.com) so I dont understand why traffic to their commercial front end site would be of concern to you?

I've never understood why people get so bent over Alexa.

It's mainly webmasters and Japanese people.

yes it does, the ccbill.com encompasses all sub domains, so it is relevant, what, you think like maybe 1/3 of their usual hits just got fucked off with the site mid may?

or maybe its ddos issues they have been having...

CCBill switched much of the images and pages it hosts to its CDN for faster response in local regions. I would wager a bet as it was around that time that the Cname for the CDN they use is not being tracked by alexa hence the drop.

alexa changed the way they measured their stats around that time, they dont rely exclusively on the toolbar any longer, a lot of sites were affected

Alexa Changes Rankings, Goes Beyond Dreaded Toolbar
April 17, 2008 ? 12:07 AM PDT ? by Stan Schroeder ?
The folks at Alexa have announced that their ever so popular (but, many might argue, often inaccurate) ranking system for web sites has been altered. The official word on the changes is slightly vague: Alexa claims ?better rankings,? and ?improved methodology,? but doesn?t go into detail.

One change, however, is definitely a big one: Alexa is now using several sources for its rankings. So far, Alexa has measured rankings of web sites according to the users of their Alexa Toolbarhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toolbar , and this was the main source of users? and experts? criticism. For one, the Toolbar is not available for all platforms (you can?t get it for a Mac, and that?s why Mac-oriented sites have always ranked poorly on Alexa). Secondly, the Toolbar was reportedly mostly used by the tech-savvy demographic which are interested in rankings, and therefore various technology and SEO sites were perhaps unfairly well ranked

Maybe it is because of overall sales ?
My sales went down with 40% in the last 5 months and I did not change a fucking thing all is normal except for my sales. And I am not the only one having this problem.
So if a lot of people have less sales maybe that's why visitors don't go to ccbill dot com domain where they can cancel their accounts. Simple because less people have to cancel.

What I would like to know is if ccbill experiences a large drop in sales looking at ALL their webmasters subscriptions.
That would be usefull information.
But I know whishfull thinking .......

I was going to say the exact same thing, I'm willing to bet their CDN is messing up Alexa's results as their traffic is being relayed across different servers across the globe and Alexa isnt recognizing that.

Notice the same people always want to cover up something relevant, with inaccurate or lame excuses and uninformed opinions. Anyone using ccbill on either side of the fence has a valid interest in whether it's something to concern them or not.

this most likely had a lot to do with the Alexa stats. we have not noticed such a trend on our end at all. if anyone has any CCBill clicks or form hit questions they would like to discuss I would be happy to.

Further validation that at least something like this could be responsible, is to compare the results of compete.com and quantcast.com which neither sites indicate a drop corresponding to the same period. While none of them are very accurate, they might help with a correlation of metrics.
