Michiganders?

Once again, looking for a role call for those around the Michigan area. Webmasters, and such. I might be looking for some strategic partnerships as I have so much on my plate, and need to balance the load out a bit.

While I 'may' consider someone still U.S. based, I figured it would be nice to see who is around Michigan, and other areas of expertise. I know Becky in G.R., fawkedup across town, Michelle ARS across town. Satan dude across the state in Detwoit. brad Mitchell of toejo.

Who else?

Fellow Michigander here, I'm actually a Yooper, up in Houghton, Michigan, which is located up in the little chunk of Michigan that's attached to Wisconsin, 4 hours North of Green Bay, Wisconsin, ha ha ha.

Houghton is more WI than MI LOL I lived in Escanaba for about a year a while back... had charter cable internet like way out in the middle of nowhere... turkeys in the front yard even, deer hunting on the front porch (with scope)

Truly the UP is more like WI than MI. Never drank so much in my life... those pasty meat pies are GROSS but work great when you're hungover.

I'm also in Northern Michigan, about an hour away from The Heron, and as for Houghton, my nephew goes to collage there.

My wife is thinking about moving to Detroit to work at very large hospital in down town area. She is a surgen so so she will do well.

For me the big question is where do we live. Every one saying that we should not even come near down town / crime / drugs etc etc.

So where do pople who make 400 - 500K live if they are working in Detroit.

Ypsi, Ann Arbor area. Although there are many other suburbs.

My old college roomie is Homeland Security in downtown Detwoit. He's out in Ypsi, but doesn't make the $500k a year .

ROFL, ha ha, yeah, most of the people down state, forget about us up here, so we might as well be Wisconsin, ha ha.

One good thing about this area is that there has ALWAYS been fast internet. Once broadband cable came out, they had it up here fast, when in a lot of bigger areas never had it.

I can't believe that you don't like pasties unless you're hungover. I guess it depends on who makes them. There's a couple of places in town here that make awesome pasties.

Farmington/Farmington Hills
Bloomfield
Royal Oak

Nice to see all the Michiganders around here. I know Shoehorn has a home here, but I think he's back in Hawaii.

I loved Michigan as a kid. Lived all over the state in the late 60s thru the mid 70s. Haven't been back in 17 years

And a quick drive to DownTown (20 Min). The only time I have been to Detroit is when I crossed the border.

Thanks for the tips
