I'm looking to spread some cash around. I have a shitload of traffic coming in to my Network of paysites but my conversion rates (for some sites, not others) have taken a fucking nosedive lately. So I want some of my older, less-performing sites re-designed. BUDGET: $400-$500. I'm looking for clean, simple designs without a ton of bells-and-whistles so they can easily "fit in" my existing network.

Of course I want, need, must have, expect, pray, hope, dream that this newly-designed Tour will CONVERT at a higher rate than the sites I'm talking about (otherwise I could leave my shit-producing sites up then, couldn't I? LOL). A Goal of 5+ signups daily is what we're shooting for, based on 5,000+ uniques. Unreasonable? Maybe, for now, but we're growing....

So: 2-3 pages, consisting of a main Tour page, a Join page and possibly a new Splash. All graphics provided tho new banners should be made & incorporated into the new design. Looking for a relatively quick turnaround as it's only 2-3 pages (two weeks or under, app).

Any takers? Please list some actual examples of Tours you've designed that you are certain are producing/converting at a high rate. Thanks!!!

I don't know Amp's designs but he seems to be one of the few on here who understands that it's about WAY more than just the fancy colors. I really think all the quality developers are already in-house. The large firms just make pretty shit and give ZERO attention to the details like usability.

I could give you an HTML/CSS template that could basically be 'skinned' for each of your sites. It's a cheap way to get the job done, and my layouts highlight your content, and THAT is what will drive conversions.

I would recommend that you invest in switching your pay sites over to a pay site tube business model instead of prettying up the pig so to speak. I think that will help your conversions, if you have some decent content and amount of it, then just flashy tours and design.

5+ signups on 5000+ UV isn't unreasonable at all. Even at these times. Is it hard? Yes. Most sites are converting 1:2000 and up on average (yeah yeah I know, there are exceptions) and of course those 5000+ UV could be 5000+ chinese visitors, or 5000+ tube visitors, or blind links or whatever. But for US/euro clicked traffic it's not an unrealistic goal at all.

What I see as the main problem here is that you want to invest the money you expect to make in 3 days. Maybe that's why your sales are in a low, think about it, you want to pay amateur money for professional results. And the sad part is that you have content good enough to make way more than 5 sales, but you'll need to re-think your business model IMHO

I've considered that, actually. The 'Mister Peabody brand", so to speak, could be pasted on cams, tubes, etc etc. But i don't have endless content, just unique stuff.

And yes, putting lipstick on the pig is exactly what I want to do. LOL If sales double I'd be happy, tho the 'pig' factor is more in the designs themselves, not necassarily the basic content. Presentation can get you a long way, as you well know.

Well thank you, and I agree, to some extent. But the sites in my network that DO convert make 10 - 30 sales daily. That is, one or two do ten, a couple do fifteen, one does twenty, etc. THOSE sites are not to be touched. LOL It's the sites that are 'dead' - no new content anymore, or ever to come, with the same design from 2005 I'm talking about. So I figure, spend the $400 or so now, and if sales double then it pays for itself in x # of months. If it does not pay for itself then I know that my designs do what they do compared to 'professionally-designed' sites.

True, I'm sure if I spent $3,000 to have it designed it would look....like every other 'pretty' site out there. I have two friends in this business who did that and their sales never really went up. Four hundred I can gamble with (because I think some of the girls/content is still hot) than roll 3 G's.

Hope that makes sense. LOL One's business model is often fine-tuned to one's circumstances, as it were.

yes it makes sense. Furthermore, I wasn't even referring to "make it look pretty". To me, a professional design is about giving to the site what the site needs. See I didn't even offer my services, because I'm not able to do the kind of designs you have, and I think they would work better if they keep a consistence throughout your network. Plus, I figured you were talking about sites that were left out and probably have little to no upside, so I would never promise a result over that. I was referring in general, and no necessarily about you. If it was me, I'd keep them as they are in terms of design. But in terms of business model there are quite a bunch of alternatives you can do, and that's a very different story

Of that you are absolutely right (other business models)!! II just got into this side of the business because I shot a lot of content as Mister Peabody. LOL So I started a paysite, then another, and another...

But yeah, I basically want to see if a new design would bump sales for sites that have hardly any, so understanding it's a gamble going in there's never going to be any accussations to the poor designers I pick. LOL If I can't make 'em sell and they can, awesome. if I can't and THEY can't, well...no foul.

Ah. I see what you are saying.

I was simply suggesting if you are going to make the investment, then look at bumping up the entire site switching the cms and design. Not just the lipstick.

However, to pull off a tube pay site. You have to have a decent amount of content AND you have to do updates often. Which is something not everyone can pull off. Even with good niche content.

LOL Because I'M the guy that designed everything you see on my network. I tried re-designing the 'crappy old sites' (2-3 years old+) into the style that converts well and....nadad. LOL So now I'm trying something differant - but if the new designs don't sell then it IS the content and I can stop worrying about it.
