namecheap

Just like to know if anyone has had any problems with namecheap,

My account has been accessed and personal details changed ie, name and addresses and also the administration e mail addresses, not by me. I am the only person with access (meant to be anyway)

If you have had problems, how have you been treated by name cheap? and what have they done to reassure you to keep using their services.

I am really pissed off, as to my treatment and the fact that they dont seem to think its serious that someone has changed details on my account, and as to the amount of money I spend and have spent with them, it totally shit customer service,

whether you have 1 domain registered or 1000 , customer service should be top notch..

I had no problems with them, so I don't know anything about their support..

Sorry to hear that anyway.

P.S. At your place, I'd change all my passwords *everywhere* with some newly installed OS ;)

I have never had any problems with them. I have only had to used their customer service a few times when transfers were taking too long and they were helpful enough in those cases.

Yeah, the support is available, and I have been online support and spoken on several occasions, about the problem, to no avail, as to getting the problem sorted, they want me to tell them "when the details were changed" and various other questions, which they should be able to check at their end, etc, surely , it is their job to rectify and get to the bottom of what has happened..

Your computer may have been compromised. Do not access anything sensitive until you've run these free online virus scanners:

http://www.bitdefender.com/scan8/ie.html

http://www.eset.com/onlinescan/

http://www.kaspersky.com/scanforvirus (Online version of Kaspersky doesn't remove anything, so you'll have to manually delete.)

http://us.trendmicro.com/us/products.../trialpay.html

Also download SUPERAntiSpyware, which is free and really good:

http://www.superantispyware.com/download.html
