screen- no light

pointing device- left=right, up = down

battery- no juicy

if the keyboard is messed up, then retire it. It's more expensive to fix that than to get a new laptop

For a kickass laptop go to www.ibuypower.com and build one then call them and tell them you want a good deal and they will hook you up.

They build some crazy shit over there and its quality stuff. My laptop is still going strong after a lot of beatings
