Any hosting companies with servers here in LA? I need a place that I can drive down to & load up content on the server and leave. FTP'ing content up to my server is not working for me. Sometimes these uploads are running 12 to 14 hours

i've tried a bunch, i'm sure they'll let you hit up the datacenter if necessary

its probably pretty common

Most host will work something out if you send them a DVD or even a portable hd of data..

Yeah alot of hosts do not mind taking a Disc and placing the content in.

I thought about that....but I think that's going to be a pain in the ass as well. Then I'm waiting around for someone to get some time to transfer my stuff. If that's your worry you need to get a new host. We're at Swiftwill and they would get it done in less time then it would take you to schedule a time to go into your datacenter. It's not like you can just walk in whenever you feel like it.

That's what I"m looking for - a place where I can walk in anytime I want to and transfer my content from a portable hard drive to my server

Hey guys - just for the record - my current host PhatServers has been amazing to me. Any support that I need is taken care of within minutes and they have never let me down - not once. They've offered up several solutions to my issue here already so I'm doing the research and trying to figure out what I want to do. After reading over my posts it was easy to get the impression that I might not be happy with Phatservers and that's just not the case

I've dealt with PhatServers through clients that hired me. They seem like a good company. Heard good things about them. Don't think I've ever heard anything bad about them.
