non biz...buying a NEW MATTRESS, any recommendations?

Hey

i am getting a new mattress. Can only really fit a queen in my bedroom so i still have room for nightstand and walk room etc.... Would like to be in the $1,500 price range. If you have a good mattress that you can recommend, I would appreciate it.

Thanks
ian

I've really liked my memory foam mattress so far. Very comfortable.

Just go to a store and see what _you_ like the best. It's totally subjective.

SelectComfort has a line of SleepNumber beds with a queen size that I'm pretty sure is just under $1500. Their lowest priced bed is nicer than anything you could buy elsewhere.

do some research before you buy a tempurpedic or memory foam matteress... i spent a but load of money and ended up giving mine away. i hated it!

try googling some articles if thats what you're leaning towards, i've heard its been linked to allergies, back problems, and my biggest complaint was the heat.

Latex mattresses are the way to go... more expensive usually, but much better in my opinion.

I just got back from vacation this morning and went to be for an hour and I had forgot just how good my bed and mattress were. Its a pillow top mattress and its unbelievably comfortable.

For $1500 pretty sure you'll get something good. My girlfriend always says "Always have a good mattress and a good pair of shoes - if you're not in one, you're in the other"

Definitely take a look. They'll even bring it out, set it up and let you use it for a few weeks.

If they bring it to you, you won't be letting them take it back. I promise you that much.
