Why not just send your shittiest foreign traffic to their longest videos? It's pretty easy to do in fact, just a few lines in htaccess.

One step further, why not create a coalition that will buy dirt cheap shitty traffic and send it to some of these sites to watch them get buried?

if it actually started to make any difference I'm sure they will just block/redirect that foreign traffic anyways

and the proxy idea, while a good thought, will only go so far, because you will probably kill off the proxies faster than you will make enough of a difference to the tube sites

and the problem with embedding on your blogs is the watermarks will just draw the surfers to the tubesites directly and you will be adding to the problem in streaming half hour videos like they do anyways

the zombie dos idea might be the best one, other than the little issue with illegality

Let's put this in perspective people... I was looking at ONE video and it was about 5 minutes in length.. not too long.. but still little too long for my liking.. anyways.... I looked at the "views" number before I refreshed and after.. and for ONE video, it jumped almost 4000 views in 5 minutes...

iframing them/proxy or refreshing them to death won't put a dent in the larger operations, hell i'd be surprised if they even knew that you were doing it or cared at all for that matter.

well, if the numbers are accurate, I bet those 4000 people probably only watched a few seconds of the video before jumping on to the next one, and that was probably a featured video on the front page, so that ONE video may actually represent a larger proportion of viewers than the rest of the videos on the site

but I agree with you

it will take a pretty big and continuing type of effort on them to achieve the goal

it should be fairly easy to calculate bandwidth costs to see what actual monetary effect any of the plans would cost on them... ie. number of videos streamed vs. bandwidth costs... .it would be interesting to see some numbers from someone that feels like calculating

All do repect Jay, you of all people know a lot about traffic of course...but Wrong way of thinking bro....tube sites are a new way of doing business and marketing. Its the way for people living around the world.....and changes you cant fight and have to change with it.... Instead of spending time talking about " taking down tube sites " , you should adapt to these changes and make money from it....and even build your own legit money making tube site :-)......Remember, we have been showing porn video online since 1994...thats 14 years ( or i can say 140 human years with the speed the internet is moving )....there is A LOT of content, a A LOT of options and A LOT of new stuff coming up for everyone...

Do you make lots gallery pages for each site in your program? Why not just have 1 mega "tube" or whatever you want to call it and put all galleries on 1 page?

Perhaps, you could mix it up though.

I think you would have to concentrate on one or two. Bury them till they go down for good. As for legality, I don't think they are going to go cry wolf. Most of them are doing something illegal already and probably don't want to draw too much ire from the government.

Raffi, just because you sell cheap content to the couple guys that do keep it legal doesn't make the whole concept a good thing. Jay, i am surprised you dont know much....WWC is not the cheapest....We are actually higher than MANY content providers who are trying to duplicate our business and compete with us! We WONT go lower than a certain price....Proof is I have 18 in house WWC employees to support and provide a service and product to the industry. Others have only a few staff so they can afford to sell much cheaper. Its also depends on the quality of content, year made, niche, availability, etc...this is business my friend.

Although, thats not the point, the point is that i dont control the market, the industry and ALL of the people in it control the market and not to mention the consumer spending habits, new ways of living, economy, etc....you need to understand. The future is closer than you think ;-) not 20 years from now....remember, we have been in this for a LONGGGGG time..... our friend Bill Gates even said, DVD will be obsolete in 5 years.....

I believe there is a simple option in Opera to reload apage every five minutes automatically. The same with Firefox in the form of extensions.

Simple. Load the url to a five minute or gretaervideo and set this up each night before you go to sleep. Multiply this by 1,000 webmasters and it can get pretty effective. No coding reuired. Easy as can be. Completely automated.

Another easy idea that may be worth a try...

Upload as many taped webcam shows as you can to all tube sites. Once the surfers get this boring content for free, they will be less inclined to bother clicking any of the webcam links that are riddled all over most tube sites.

If surfers don't click through to the webcam links that the tube sites reply on for revenue, guess what happens...

Upload as many taped webcam shows as you can to all tube sites. Once the surfers get this boring content for free, they will be less inclined to bother clicking any of the webcam links that are riddled all over most tube sites. If surfers don't click through to the webcam links that the tube sites reply on for revenue, guess what happens...
