Subaru Forester, who's got one?

Reliable? Hows the fuel economy?

We need a new family(wife's gonna drive it)car. I like the fact that its bigger than a car and yet not an SUV. Fucking SUV's a big and useless.

I test drove one for 2 weeks, but turned it down in the end.

Thing is I wanted a family car that would get me out of any road hazzards.

Family car? No.

There are so many little things missing, the one I drove didn't have a cup holder, the pimped out stereo system didn't have a line-in jack and didn't even read mp3 discs, not nearly enough space in the back, the back seats didn't fold to the front or the back, sub-par storage space and so on.

Road hazzards?

The 4WD was useless when I tried to use it in mud. It's all-time 4WD with no traction control what so ever, just to keep you on road at high speeds.

So what you're getting with the Forrester is a less-than SUV-ish car both in terms of space and performance, you're paying for a nice engine in a mid-size family car with 4WD for high speeds.

Although this way 2006, I think. Things might have changed.

I love my Subaru Legacy. I am not a fan of the Forester just because of the looks. I have never drove one.
