I'm having a problem with my cable internet connection, it seems one time a day my internet looses connection. I checked my DHCP Lease time and it was set to "180 minutes", which I heard is very low. Is the reason why i'm loosing my connection is when it tries to renew the IP it doesnt, and drops my connection, and will moving the DCHP lease time to 4320 minutes, 3 days, help so my darn connection doesnt keep dropping

dhcp has nothing to do with you loosing your internet connection.

you can set lease time for 1 year even it dont matter.

Unless it drops every 3 hours, you have no problem. Most devices re-request the same IP, and cause no downtime through this issue. Call your ISP.

most ISPs over here shut down the connection once per day and give you new IP - can that be your problem?
but i agree, lease time is not your problem
