Today I had a alarm installed in my studio and we were shooting. The alarm company guy was shocked that we were shooting porn not because it was porn he said but because of tube sites. He asked who in their right mind would pay for porn when he gets it all day for free on pornhub and all the other porn tube sites. Tubes are going to kill the business so I got something for all you tube owners

Make sure you are differentiating between legal and illegal tubes before you start a witch hunt.

The tube model is one of the few innovations to hit our industry sadly in the past few years, and we let mainstream beat us to the punch. Great content delivery module, as long as its kept in check.

Many people confuse sites stealing full scenes and illegally posting and hosting this content with other tube sites run with sales to content producers in mind, or using licensed content and premium membership models.

These guys ALL paid for porn memberships up until about a year or so ago. Well, I have them free access to my sites and free copies of my DVDs, but they paid for the rest of it.

I'm still making good money buuuuuuut as tubes grow and become more popular, I'm pretty sure I'm gonna take a hit sooner or later. That's when I'm going to turn to pre-checked x-sales under the submit button, on the cancel page and a few other hidden places. I'm going to x-sell them until their fucking balls fall off. Then I'm going to sell their email to anyone who will buy it as well as spam the shit out of them. Install malware on their systems, sniff their private data and then buy shit with their stolen credit cards until I max it out. I'm even gonna send snail mail postal spam to them. They fuck us... I'm gonna fuck them right back. ;-)

there was never a point in this biz where that couldn't have been said "everyone i know finds free porn by going to....." - just because tube sites exist, doesn't mean these life and death "issues" weren't being complained about before. people were always finding all the free pics/vids etc that they wanted and the industry grew by leaps and bounds.

the funny thing about tube sites is that they are simply more of the same and they are making money. everyone keeps pretending they don't .. the fact of the matter is that they do. the traffic converts. nothing new going on here.

I'd say more than 50%. This was a time when online video wasnt popular because there wasnt much of it to begin with, and most people still had dialup connections. Shit has just adapted so now tube sites are replacing the tgp sites. And those of us that were in the business making killer, easy money before all this shit started, are looking around and wondering why did everyone fuck it up.

But the shit that people are saying about tube sites killing porn signups now, we heard it all before when someone thought a TGP was a good idea.

Back then i didnt do TGP sites cause i just thought they were horrible, and all i saw was horrible conversion rates that everyone complained about. But fuck it, this time I'm jumping on the tube wagon... already have 2 online, and building more.

There is a difference.

Looking at a TGP or MGP and looking at a 30 second clip MAY get someone off. However going to a tube and watching a full free video that for sure will get you off is another story.

Sure tubes may make money but they are making it off of dating and cams. Not a lot of cash being made in pay site revenue for the tube models offering full videos. TEASER tubes for sure can sell memberships but full length video tubes, no way.

I'm not concerned with the tube site showing short teaser clips. THAT IS no different than the TGPs and MGPs. However I am concerned with the tubes that offer the whole shebang. If I can get your content for free, why would I want to pay for it? I wouldn't.

Well if producer stop making porn tube sites will fail because there won't be any new content. Now before someone says there's plenty of content already on tube sites to last a lifetime, then ask yourself this. How come peolpe watch mostly NEW porn and not 70s, 80s or 90s porn? Sure plenty of guys can get off on tube sites content just like they could get off on pics on TGPs 8-10 years ago. Those guys are never going to be buyers anyways.

Sites like Hulu are basically a mainstream versions of porn tube sites. Hulu and sites like it actually INCREASE ratings for shows not decrease them.

Also more and more people stream internet based content to their TVs. Trust me, porn tube content looks like crap on a 50 in HDTV or even a 32 in HDTV.

you can't stop others from giving that surfer what they want
you can make the choice to be the one of the ones giving them what they want
