we will see that model tested - somebody with their own high quality exclusive content will go the tube route - legally - it's the way the Internet is going whether anybody likes it or not. I don't think the model will support somebody going out and producing expensive content for tube sites but for those that already have a big catalog - it might.

Sorry, and excuse for a bit of simple math, this whole model of giving away the product for free is totally worthless and would never ever happen in any industry that is organized / unified.

Let's also try to think this way:

- There is a limited amount of surfers that are surfing porn / capable of paying and that we all can get for our paysites to pay for what they are actually finding worth paying to

- out of this limited amount - every single day more and more are offered and reaching the free substitute

- the demand is shrinking, there's practically no brand loyalty, there are no real alternative ways to market the video and it's producers ( where does a free view stand against VOD / subscription / pay per download etc.?)

All of these illegal sites are stealing money from paysites and other affiliate marketers pushing paysites.

Someone (advertisers), is practically financing these entities to steal traffic / potential customers from their competition to sign up for their own service, I don't actually find it right, although, of course it makes some sense.

For one to achieve the most profit and market share, it's always way more convenient to crook than to behave "economically", unless ethics or more likely regulations are in place.

As a fairly new webmaster I can see this happening and wish it didn't. A lot of times threads that start out informative, I think I might be able to take something out of it, and then they turn into non-sense in no time.

This could be a reason for more retarded webmasters. It leaves the newer guys fending for themselves trying to learn stuff. If you don't know someone who has been in it for a while, and knows some ins-and-outs, keeps a lot of webmasters at step 1.

Just a thought.

It's statistically, mathematically, and logically impossible for even 2-3 of the largest tubes to reach 800+ sales/rebills a day. (really 1000's based on free signups too) For sure within the time frame that they have been around.

Why do you always bring up Greg in a thread? You don't know him at all and he is not a designer. He also did just have that site rebuilt, but he does not like how the designer built it. I have a different designer then he does. Mine built and shot the pictures for Private Glamour.

The new designer he is using is from here. He made a posting a few weeks ago and a few designers from here contacted him. You seem to worry an awful lot about what I do. Perhaps you should take that energy and focus it on your own work.

A friend of ours did the design a while ago. Greg just had it rebuilt, but the designer made it look like a teen site. It has flowers and stuff like that. So the designer is reworking the design. Yeah I hate the look of that site. That is why I told him to have it rebuilt. Plus he added all of those damn banners on it, which will not be on the site when the new design goes up.

This is the third time you have brought him up in a thread. He does not do anything on my website except edit and logo video's for me. I own my website, I picked the designer who built it, and I do everything on it but the video's. Any time my website is mentioned in the last few weeks you bring up Greg. My site was built by Phil Weber. He will be making some changes on it to make it how I want it to look. As for Greg, he did have that site rebuilt but the new design needs some things changed. If you want to know why he names his files the way he does, ask him. He also did not do the design that is on there now. A friend did it. As for as I know Joe who did that design does not studder. You can e-mail your questions to [email protected] and I am sure he will be more than happy to answer them.

I agree with that somewhat. How many dating and Cams sites are people going to buy? I think the key to making that business model work is getting mainsteam (ie: mens products / "edgy stuff") to accept adult traffic. If that happens we can just do away we members areas and put everything out in the open and porn will be free.

Just like network TV.

It's a log way between here and there though.

Remember, we are paying our 35x what your initial transaction is (actually 70x when you take our processing). We update with exclusive content twice a day. We have higher than normal content costs because we actually have product, but wait...here is the really funny part...FAST FORWARD TO 2008: OPEN UP THE LATEST AVNONLINE AND READ "THE THE GOSPAL ACCORDING TO..." SECTION: OCCASH IS IN THE TOP 10 EARNERS OF ALL PROGRAMS FOR EVERY PERSON THAT POSTED THEIR STATS! That?s because they were patient and didn?t make a run for the fast money and let the rebills grow! Adult online is all about the rebills!

The way this industry is set up: IT IS BUILT TO FAIL! Everybody wants the highest payout, but they don't want you to actually be able to make money in order to pay them. As programs, we are at the top of the food chain, if we aren't making money, how can we be paying it?

All that aside, if it were up to me, this is how adult online will work:

The issue is there are a lot of webmasters that have no idea how sponsors earn money, the cost involved in running a program and paying webmasters. Many are so eager to jump on the bandwagon and bitch simply out of boredom or in an effort to gang up and feel they belong. Ignore the haters, they will always be there.
