weren't you the one posting recently that there is no real difference between the candidates?

if you really think that, then what difference does it make if certain gfyers can vote or not?

my understanding is that generally people with business are republicans, although some of the republicans I know are so disgusted with bush they are voting for obama.

obama's only real skill is as an actor. think about it for a minute. he has what 16-18 months experience in government and nothing else. however he's doing mad views on TV and u-tube etc... sweeping the nation. that' my friend is an 'actor' and that is also what hitler was and did BTW.

if we are going to have an actor for prez I would rather have bruce willis myself.

what do you do in the biz? I see you've been around a long time. is there a difference? not really sure. I try and gain insight from this forum because there are actually some very smart people here. do I think that obama and mccain are solely responsible for the direction they choose. no, I don't really think that at all. do you?

So now Obama's only skill is that of an actor? And you call other's childish and say it's scary that GFYers can vote. And you compare Obama to Hitler and we are somehow supposed to take you seriously?

here's something I saw on a documentary about coca cola. they were interviewing on one the past CEO's about this and that and the history of the business. this comment came out during that interview: "we sent Ike over to Europe to get him some was experience, then it was just a question of do we want him to be a republican or a democratic president."

that's really seems like a true perspective on politics to me. and I would find it hard to see that it's changed that much in the last 50 years.

I have no real idea who to vote for. I am leaning to obama just because he's a better actor than mccain. hopefully with someone like that fronting for us some of the crap will die down around the world OR a bunch of asswipes will figure it's time to test obama and see what he can do in a crunch... it could go either way.

what are your thoughts?

it kinda does really, if you make big bucks in the industry you're going to want to keep making big $$ and to hang onto the money.

if you're a guy with a few TGP's that feels sorry for girls with cum on their faces you're going to have a different view of things

that stuff will influence your vote.

The funniest thing about this thread is that he says that "the scariest part about this election is that GFYers are allowed to vote" and now he's asking other GFYers for their opinions on the election. LOL. You're a riot dude!

i tend to agree with your comments in the other thread, i don't see much difference between the 2.

especially when considering the ridiculous amounts of money they've raised to campaign and the consequential favors owed, how bloated our entire government is, how patched up our tax system is, etc and most importantly, how government tends to benefit big business more than people.

the average american is so far removed from what goes on inside the beltway that i find it virtually impossible to make an *informed* choice. i've always felt that local politics are where i can make a difference but fuck, with all the propositions and how poorly they are explained and how they are misrepresented and convoluted, at least in california, it's getting quite hard to make an informed choice at the local level these days.

if you'll actually read the post what I stated was hitler took the 'masses' by his acting, hitler spent hours and hours rehearsing in front of a mirror, just like I'm sure obama does.

there is no doubt by anyone that obama does better on TV than mccain. that is called 'acting' just like Kennedy did better than Nikon on TV.. that election was very, very close if you'll READ about it. and the difference is attributed to the TV spots.

so back to my original question: do you play any other characters other than reactionary?

I'm in total agreement with you there. in some states they are writing the laws in 'plain English' sure do with that would catch on

if you'll hit me with an email i wouldn't mind discussing this off the boards a bit..

I'm sure Reagan was one of your favorite Republican presidents, and he was an acclaimed radio personality, film actor, and one of the directors of the Screen Actors Guild.

Experience is your concern, aye?

If you voted for President Bush (either time), then probably not. Bush's experience before becoming president:

Governor of Texas: January 17, 1995 – December 21, 2000

Barack Obama's experience:

Member of the Illinois State Senate: January 8, 1997 – November 4, 2004
U.S. Senate: January 4, 2005 to present

Hitler, aye?

Because he is eloquent? So was JFK, Reagan & Clinton (to name a few). Because he is coming in a time of great economic strife? So did Franklin D. Roosevelt. Because he is proposing a radical shift in our economy? So was FDR's "New Deal" and it was one of the defining moments in our history. I don't think Obama is an anti-Semite, but maybe the Republican spin machine plans on making an announcement this week?

Doesn't it at all concern you that the McCain campaign is based chiefly around discrediting the character of Obama, rather than the issues at hand, or even what makes McCain's character that much better than Obama's?

Maybe if McCain didn't decide to go with Palin, his campaign's scare tactics would be more effective on the average American. The fact of the matter is the average American is more scared of Palin than they are of the "socialist, terrorist, anti-American, Nazi, (insert Republican rhetoric here)" Obama.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the big O is going to be your next president, and he will fight for you, even though you hate him; which ironically might make you hate him more?

Im sure he acted his way to being the first black president of Harvard Law Review, as well as acted his way into the US Senate. Your right and he will act his way into being the first black president. Its Palin/Mccain who are actors because neither of them speak of their true agenda. Now thats fucking maverick.

bad news: I have no personal opinion of either candidate. I want the best man for the job. don't care about color, age, Republican or Democratic.

I once read that all politicians are mentally ill, that being politically inclined was in fact a mental illness. because wanting control over others is a mental illness.

lets hope that obama pulls a great team in with him that can effect positive change in out greatly affected country

People who produce porn and dont know the history of our industry baffle me really. The middle class is shrinking, wages are going down the toilet, the middle class buys the goods I sell. Trickle down doesnt work.

Some very strange things happened the last two elections with the computerized voting or diebold machines.. some blatant gangsterism by Bush.

I doubt it will happen this election simply because McCain is so far out of contention, but we all might be surprised yet again.. after all the republicans are the one with the experience in this area.

I have to agree with this. The level of discourse on both sides of most issues is incredibly juvenile and relies primarily and name calling and mob tactics. That is par for the course for a message board but it is not a very good way to organize a society.

Why should you be allowed to vote, but another shouldn't? In what ways are you more qualified? Serious question. How would you change the eligibility to vote?

Exactly what I was going to post.

You dont bullshit your way in graduating at the top of your class at Harvard and being president of the law review. That argument is absurd.
