Dude, I know everyone at Dreamworks urban from John McClain on down. I can tell you without a shadow of a doubt that Viscious is not going to have anywhere near the success Eminem has. Skills don't matter as much as affilliation. Viscious has no important freinds or crew backing him. He can spend all the money on tracks he wants to but it doesn't matter. He needs some freinds.

There are tons of artists on other labels buying tracks from The Neptunes, Just Blaze, and more but without the key affilliations they don't win. Most of them you never even hear of unless you are in the business. There was a label that did this with every artist called Quest that never had hits. It was disgusting.

Hopefully your friends act does some units. There is a great new promotion guy at Dreamworks named Garnett so he has some good backup but Viscious still needs some high level star affiliation.

I can't say how much money your freind makes from Eminem but I guarentee that Jeff and Mark Bass who started working with Em when he was 15 would have a bit to say about him taking credit for 'discovering' Eminem.

Actually Em was 'brought' to LA to compete in a rap competition called the Rap Olympics hosted by a now defunct magazine called Rap Pages. I know because I was there and was one of the sponsors.

While there they did what they could to shop Em's demo which was easy to do with every companies west coast A&R in the room at the time. It was more Paul and Em than anyone else. Even Jeff and Mark's connections were limited at the time although they had done some major work previously.

Also, do you know how hard it is to make millions on a couple of points? It's damn near impossible om 99% of all acts. It's especially hard when the acts you sign haven't even come out yet. Your friend has a lot of work to do to start making that kind of money and still a couple of years to do it. It takes more than one artist. He'll make more money doing a few large production deals or taking a large position after the next artist he deals with that he plays a larger role with blows up.

There were a lot of hands in the Eminem deal. Interscope, Aftermath, Eminem & Paul, Mark & Jeff, Wendy from Web - then whoever else (this MAY be where your freind comes in). Points usually don't get shared at that level.

I am not trying to argue with you because I know music isn't your first priority and the business isn't something you'v studied. But those are the facts.
All I know is my friend made alot of money off ODB and Em and mnay other records he produced that went Platinum
He also owns his own Publishing company

Trust me Evan Bogart was the guy who found Em and brought him to LA thats why he got some credit but he did get fucked out of the deal.

I'll show you pictures with Em riding in the back of my friends Jeep before he was anyone.

Just look up my frinds name Justin trugman he also does sound tracks for movies like ScaryMovie and many others.

But like I said i personally don't know the biz i only know what I see and Hear thru them.

And they all say Viscius is really good even Em said so. I met him when he was in town this summer

That's cool man. I just hate to see someone in this biz get the ol music industry smoke and mirrors routine. It's part of the game.

Don't let him fool you, from what I hear about you, I can guarentee you are making waaaaaaaaay more money than your friend. The grass just looks greener on the other side thanks to the parties babes and star attraction. Ya can't beat music fashion and film in that respect.

That's what I'm talking about. Music biz smoke and mirrors. I had a wall full of platinum plaques at 18. People kissing my ass left and right and started hanging in the middle of the star and executive crowd before that age but I didn't have half the money people thought at the time. It took some years to build up my cash. But the home the cars and the lifestyle would have told you different.

Do you live in LA ? what did you do in the Music biz and why are you in this biz now?

I know David Slessinger from Vividvideo used to be in the Music Biz before

I hear ya. But do you think I would be hangin out with guys who are all some Smoke and Mirrors.
I know he has money and respect cause I see it.
he owns a management company and publishing company.
He is a big fish and he is only going to get bigger. Very smart kid
But if you want come out anytime and see for your self.
I don't hang out with Dreamers just players.

This way I don't always have to pick up the tab

Makes sense. It seems when you get stuck with the tab it's never the one from lunch at Fatburger.

I can't go into details about what I do in that music industry here. Gotta keep it separate to some degree. Some years ago when Universal started the wave of big music mergers I saw it made sense to put the money I make from the music biz into something to diversify my interest. I have always been a tech head so here I am. To tell you the truth I like the people in this biz a little better. Much more friendly and, for lack of better words, real.

I know who your friend is. This is why I say what I am saying. He's no slouch, he's in the game. He's not quite the superman you make him out to be yet, and I did say yet cause things change dramatically with one big hit. This could be a big year for him.

I live in NY right now but I will be back in LA (semi) full time starting January. I'm actually in LA right now looking for a pad. I will see you around I'm sure.

It's because he's white, of course. But is it racism, or is it the "Man bites dog" aspect of it?

Okay so what if you have a dick and you like dick but you also like pussy? Would that make you gay and straight?
Didn't think so...I think that would make you BI-SEXUAL.
This means you enjoy the best of BOTH worlds.

I think gay is when you only enjoy men.
And being a lesbian is when you only enjoy women.

Correct me if I'm wrong on this one.

I don't understand why bisexuals seem to upset both straights and gays so much. I've seen it here on this board and I've seen it in other online communities and in real life as well -- people freak right the fuck out if you say you're bi.

You can say all you want to that there's no such thing as being bi -- I've heard it all, such as that I'm being trendy, that I'm a conflicted lesbian clinging to het respectability and priviledge -- but when it comes down to it, bisexuals are just greedy motherfuckers.

So yes, Virginia, there ARE bisexuals. If Dre likes to play on both sides of the fence, so what? More power to him...and if Tupac was as flaming as a bonfire, so what? Let the man rest in peace, damn. As far as I can tell, the people that are so concerned about other people's sexuality and/or choice of bedpartners are the ones who may be a little concerned or unsure about their OWN sexuality.

I don't want to get into it because it's not my business but I can have one of my buddy's hop on and break it down for you.
I'm also friends with One Eye he did the beats for (put your ass into it put your back into it) and many others

I just know this cause i hang around them alot and I hear them talk.
Vicious is signed by Dream Works and has the top Producers who make the Album. Watch what happens. same guys who made Em

I'll put a $1000 bucks on it if he doesn't blow up and if he does
you owe me $1000 you wanna do a GFY shake on it?

I've heard his tracks and they are better than Em's
Look out for a song thats called
(whatever Lola wants)
we can do a GFY shake on it. if your boy viscious is not real and has no credible affiliation to a credible rapper he will not succeed. period!! I don't care who's doin his beats.
