What concerts did you see in 2008, and what are you seeing in 2009?!

It's been a great year. I have seen:
* Smashing Pumpkins
* Neil Young
* Metallica
* Foo Fighters
* Queens of the stoneage
* Motorpsycho
* Kiss
* Datarock

And for 2009 I got tickets for Coldplay and Ac/Dc! Doesnt get any better than that!

What about you?

I saw Sizzla Kalonji from Jamaica, that was the only one sadly, but this is the fate of the young fathers who left the capital city...

I was there too.

I also saw Rob Zombie, Ozzy, Motorhead and Greenday. I think that covers it for 08. I don't plan concerts, so who knows what 09 will bring.

I've been to a bunch of show in '08, I can't remember them all but some off the top of my head are;

Type-O Negative w/ Celtic Frost
Metallica twice in the past week
Five Finger Death Punch w/ In This Moment
Nashville Pussy and Rev Horton Heat, twice
Mastodon w/ Queens of the Stone Age
Gojira
Lamb of God a twice (got tickets for them again tonight)
Yeti (local band) a few times
Devildriver

and that's about all I can remember at the moment

I saw AC/DC last week with my daughters and they blew it out, one of the best concerts I've seen. I HIGHLY recommend anyone that wants to see kickass rock-n-roll show to go see them if you get the chance.

I was there Wednesday night but would have loved to be on the floor. I also caught them in Ontario last Friday and would definitely seen them again soon, it was a great show.

Just remember I also saw Slayer and Marilyn Manson on the same bill earlier this year as well

Fuck it, I'll say it. My wife dragged me out to see George Michael and it was surprisingly good. I saw DMB a few times and also Blue October, which I really enjoyed. Other than that it's been a slow concert year for me.

Here are a few tickets from days past ... ahh nostalgia

I heard Weds had a different lead act, Sword or something like that. Was told they sucked.

We had Motorhead and while that isn't really my style, they were pretty good.

I loved the light show. Wish they had that technology back when I did L.

Now I feel ripped off!!! I think The Sword opened both nights and there were replacement bands for Lamb of God on each night (since they are banned for life from The Forum ). Machine Head was on right before Metallica, and I would have deifnitely preferred Motorhead.

I hope they come back to toronto/montreal/ottawa in 2009...getting tickets this year was just too hard unless you were willing to shell out 500/ticket. I really want to see them before its too late.

You know what, maybe it was Machine and not Motor. I will have to ask my son. Maybe we missed sword if there were two lead acts (that was the goal).

They mentioned something about LoG being banned from the Forum. What was that all about?

Good lineup! I don't plan them either. This year I only saw Kid Rock and 3 Doors Down....but I was on stage for both of them - free.

Yea I was in no rush to see The Sword either. Lamb of God has been banned for a few years now over some stupid shit. They used to be Burn The Priest maybe 7 or 8 years ago (maybe longer) and the group that bought The Forum years back is a church group and barred them from playing there once they found out. Apparently the church group is up on their Metal history

Black Sabbath w. Ronnie James Dio (sings like if it was 1976)
Ministry (pretty solid)
Def Leppard (guess I have a thing for Def Leppard)
Judas Priest (the new record sucks and they played it a lot)
Iggy Pop and The Stooges (great performance w. Mike Watt on bass)
Biohazard (gfy party)

then some jazzy stuff

I missed Alice Cooper and Slayer, sucks, too bad both concerts were happening over weekdays

2009 - want to see as much as possible
