I think I know one of the problems with sales
I do not know much about websites but I do know something about sales. I think part of the problem tgp sites are having is the automation stuff like comos thumbs ect. I built my tgp by hand . I vow never to let the surfer click on a girl thumb and it be some other guys tgp.
The tube style site are eating your lunch because at least they can get the video they want from them . I have both on my website, I made my website very surfer friendly.
