Vista and email issues, please help?

Hi guys,
I started using Vista a couple of months ago and am having more damn issues with email than I have ever had. I want to know if anyone else has had this problem at all?

I can't seem to get anyone to GET my emails, but it is sporatic, like most of the time they don't get them, but sometimes they do, this is a very serious issue since we work in email as our business....... I have checked all settings for the sendmail and smpt and all that and it seems to be ok, and have checked with my isp and they say everything is ok with my settings..... and on their end.

When I hit reply, whoever I am replying to generally doesn't get emails from me........ but it doesn't show a bounce or anything like that. And it lags when I click on "Reply" like it takes a bit for it to setup where I can type in the window.

THIS IS DRIVING ME MAD, does anyone else have issues with the email program that came with Vista and how did you fix it?

if you bought a new computer, check your antivirus settings. Something similar happened to my mom and it was the darn McAfee crap that came installed with the computer.

I thought about that too, so I completely disabled the firewall and antivirus for a time to test it and see if that was it, but didn't seem to really make any difference at all.

And yes it is a new computer. :/

I also have disabled the spam filter that came with it, and that didn't make any difference either.

I am not sure about the bad install, it came installed on this computer, I didn't upgrade from XP to Vista, I bought the computer with Vista as the original OS on it.

windows mail has a lot of issues .I know I fixed something like this for a friend a while back.

Had found a whole fix on a forum... sorry, I do not remember .

A fast solution is to drop Windows Mail and put another mail client on it.

Well if you have any ideas on what other one to use, I am all ears, I HATE email programs and setting them up more than anything...... I'd rather take a beating with a hatchet... lmao

Use gmail... there's a desktop program for it, you can get it on your phone, check it from a web page anywhere... kills all your spam... and works with all of your existing email accounts.

Great fucking system.

I agree 100% I have used Gmail for about 2 years, and couldn't imagine going back to a windows app...

Disabling your antivirus often doesn't disable the email part of the program. ctrl+alt+delete>Task Manager>Processes and close anything that looks like its related to your antivius.

If that doesn't work you can disable everything in the service tab that is related to your antivirus. If still you have a problem working in the service tab eliminate possibilities one by one.

I am on Vista and had something simular going on and that is how I cured it.
