With all due respect, I think that your doc has it backwards. Testosterone is by far the more important of the two over HGH for a 44 year old man and will make an immediate difference in your physical and mental well being. Is your doc a local guy at some expensive rejuvenation clinic or is he a world recognized expert on anti-aging and men's health? You may want to read up on Bodybuilding or Meso RX. (not posting links, go ahead and google them yourself) and ask questions.

I think Jim may be right, the test will give you the immediate results, but I think the HGH might be a good thing in the long run, so the doctor is probably pretty good at covering all bases.

thank you for the honest feedback. to further the discussion, my previous research on the subject-

the new england journal of medicine did a comparison of hgh therapy v placebo v. hgh + test therapy and concluded hgh + test is a more potent combination.

The roids where doing most of the work. When HGH is taking alone the results are far from conclusive :

"...A Stanford University School of Medicine survey of clinical studies on the subject published in early 2007 showed that the application of GH on healthy elderly patients.....Researchers also didn't discover any gain in muscle strength, which led them to believe that GH merely let the body store more water in the muscles rather than increase muscle growth.
