Any Red Dwarf fans?

Pretty much my favourite comedy show ever. Any other fans here?

They are back and making some new episodes - http://www.ananova.com/entertainment...m_3176619.html

Man, I hope the new ones don't suck.

I used to watch it years ago and loved it. Got into it because it came on after Monty Python. I have to look and see if its even going to show around here.

have tried both - english with czech subtitles and czech spoken only - both ok.
Interesting is that some movies are even better for me dubbed - the diamond like Pulp fiction is impossible to watch in english for us here- the dubbing is made by the top local actors and its really very well done. The czech language is richer in expressions then english and some things can be told only in czech - never in english.
Anyway I play the most of hollywood movies in english - you can't dubb the voice of Vin Diesel for example- no matter what kind of shit he is his voice is great.

Lol I know what you mean just reading that sent the song round my head !
Also no mention of Rimmer would be complete with out mentioning Gazpacho Soup which I still cant hear or see without thinking of poor old Arnold asking for it to be warmed up

I am a huge Red Dwarf fan, been watching it since the birth of Christ. I am looking forward to these new episodes since the movie never came out. hell, I was even hoping the pilot for the US series would have taken off.

My ICQ avatar is Rimmer & Mr Flibble.

I just pray they don't fuck these up ! I've been a huge fan of the show for years. Would be unthinkable if they waste it now.

I have faith though !!

I can never hear about gazpacho without thinking of Red Dwarf.

I also commonly say 'dinner is served' and think about blowing something up at the same time to make my point.

I should get that for my hubby. Part of the reason I started talking to him originally was that he was a Red Dwarf fan and for ages I called him 'Ace' as his nickname.

Awesome tv show....... I always maintain it was very underrated. It should be up there with Blackadder, Only fools & horses, etc and im surprised the stars didnt take more advantage of the shows success.

I mean David Jason did some major tv shows. Hugh Laurie & Stephen Fry etc are super stars. Rowan Atkinson is like at the top of his game & done major hollywood projects.

The Red Dwarf people disappeared. The lead (Craig Charles) did Robot Wars (one of the crappest shows youve ever seen about remote control robots fighting each other) and Coronation Street a kinda boring, dreary soap opera. The others did some sitcoms and minor documentaries.

Well no..one was a brilliant comedy show and the other is a game show for geeks. The guy that plays Kryton did Scrapheap Challenge..same idea in that it is a game show for geeks.

Dude, Chris Barrie was in the Tomb Raider movie series and as far as I am concerned is a very underrated actor who should be used in more US films.

Danny Jules was in Blade 2 as one of the wolfpack, Lock, Stock & Two Smoking Barrels and various other mainstream films over the years.

They definitely haven't disappeared, they just aren't the main focus of what they are in. Craig did sorta fuck things up for himself with that stat. rape situation though.

I laughed so much when I was at the cinema watching Blade 2 at the bit where Danny Jules takes off his mask and its just the cat lol complete with fangs thats possibly the least scary vampire ever.(I did think him being a vampire was a touch ironic and funny no mirrors for him lol)

Chris Barrie I agree is a under rated actor he is very good though and I liked his sitcom he did after Red Dwarf about the leisure centre lol.

I remember that show had some mind-blowing scifi plotlines that would put Star Trek to shame.

Sure but these are mostly bit parts and not big hitting roles........ theres a massive difference between that and what hugh laurie, rowan atkinson etc are doing. Hell even the guy from "Game On" is doing better than them and game on was crap.

Im just saying they deserved more profile from that show.... it was and still is hilariously funny, an excellent show.
