Is using online dating good idea or bad.

What was ur experience with it?

I know a few people who used it and had great results with it, one married the girl and the others is still dating her.

so I'm thinking of using it, but some people say it's a pathetic way of getting girls.
as I see some benefits with online dating, one you know the girl is single and is looking, and the other is they know you want a relationship.

as some girls I meet at any event,bar,club,hiking,etc and I enjoy talking to them, and after a few hours or days of talking to them they mention that they have a boyfriend.

I had two serious girlfriends both lasting anywhere from one to two years, I meet one of them at school and the other at a party. But within the last one year which I finished school I don't meet that many single girls anymore.

so what is your opinion on it.

adult ones are mostly bs since women want romance and not fucking. however i haven't tried any adult ones personally because I don't wanna pay, I just assume that being the case.

and as far as whether they work, it's either funny or sad but Ive been getting laid regularly in the past year and I've met every single one of the girls that I fucked on the net. the key here is to go niche. i've a few weird kinks and that seems to have been doing it for me, i've had zero luck with trying to find vanilla partners online.

also, girls have been surprisingly hot. go figure?

what kind of niche are out there anyway? I have only seen religion, and nationality niche.
and neither matters for me.

Mainstream ones do work. The odds are the same as going out to a bar or something. You meet some losers and some winners and everything in between.

The adult ones are total bullshit.

Just read a book where the guy said he met girls by posting furniture for sale on Craigslist. He said when you post furniture, 90% of the time young girls on their own for the first time usually come to look at it and it's the perfect time to score a date...lol!

When I was single I hooked up with a ton of girls online, craigslist, migente, blackplanet, Aol personals (when it was free), asianave, yahoo, and other sites. I dated mostly spanish and asian girls. The Internet was a way to expose yourself to more people and it seemed easier to have a lot of quick sex. Usually within a day to a week or 2...because online you just start emailing or chatting 1st...then you move to the phone...so you already know a lot about each other.

But 5 years ago I met my wife on Match.com

She had came from Japan as a student, and was also looking for a relationship with a white guy, and I was looking to meet a nice Asian girl for a long term relationship. So the timing worked out well, we dated for a year, then we moved in together, a year later we got married, and 2 years later we had a ceremony. Things are good but our cultures are worlds apart...myself being Italian and her Japanese. I can't complain she cooks really good, she loves doing laundry, and she is a caring RN.

If your serious about a relationship I would do Match.com

I also have a friend who had a lot of sex from meeting poeple on Adult friend finder...but he said all the girls had some mental problems. It is true the website is just for sex like advertised..." I said damn I did not know about this site when I was single" Not a good idea to bring some psycho girl back to your apartment though.

My opinion is that it's perfectly fine
I had a friend who worked for a major mainstream dating site and I asked him for a free account as a joke and because it seemed fun to get it if it was for free.
Well I actually started to use it and I met some guys who (of course) were only interested in sex (got rid of those in a New York Minute), a few guys who just wanted a fun casual date, and then one or two guys who were really great.

I think it's a potentially good way to meet someone. You get to see what they look like (unless they're a lunatic liar, then you run when you meet them in person) and you get to find out about them and talk to them as much as you want before you ever have to commit to seeing them.

Even if you see them once and it goes shitty then you can send them an email and say "thanks but no thanks" and it's ok, I mean, you did meet them online.

I think it's much less pressure and you should just bite the bullet and try it for 2 months. I wouldn't say 1 because you should give it a fair chance....

I think online dating sites are great and I've met (and gone on dates) with guys I've met.

One guy I met was a tool, but the other was SUPER cool.

It's great for people that don't want to go to bars, don't have time, etc. I used http://americansingles.com/

Be forewarned though...Pictures can be VERY deceiving. Or, it's them, but 10 years and 50 lbs ago
