Is there a way in Photoshop to setup a a stencil cookie cutter thing where I can set it to a certain dimension and I can go through pics cropping them to a certain size quickly?

if all the pics are the same size, just record in actions...and then batch a folder using that action

Are you suggesting I just reduce the size of the image or I let it randomly select a box to cut out of the image for the new image?

I would like to move a shaded box around on top of an image and cut it out.

Yes, it's called actions and batch processing:

This guy did a good job at explaining "recording a repeatable action".

This guy did a nice job of then showing you how to run that batch processing action on a folder of images.

Hope it helps.

Click the select tool and in the toolbar select fixed size or fixed ratio, click to select, crop and save what I do is do the selection this way and then do set an action for crop, resize, color correction and saving

u can create your own photoshop brush, or you can save your own custom selection and then load it as needed :P

plus u can set the crop tool to a preset size of your choice too

the possibilities are endless

open a document, then in the actions pallete, select new action, record...do everything you want to do to an image(including saving it)...then press stop recording....then make a copy of the folder of images....then in photoshop, elsect batch using the action you just created and then batch the folder of images you just made a copy of....it works if all your images are the same size and you want to crop all the images at the same place

if you want to select fixed dimension ratio use the crop tool and then just select the part you want to cut, hit enter and the image will resize to your dimensions automaticly.

in case you want to select and cut the image on the fixed dimension, not to have it resized use the select tool (rectangular marquee tool) and do what AnniKn told you
