Do you go look when an ambulance or fire truck drive by?

Do you? When a ambulance or a fire truck drives down your street, do you go check it out? See what's going on?

Reason I ask this is 2 fire trucks and an ambulance just flew down my street and I looked out the window and 4 of my 5 neighbors either walked down the street, or drove down to scope it out.

If it's parked outside and I can see the lights I immediately lock all my doors so the damn cops (rapists) come into my house...

where I lived a few months ago there was either an ambulance or a firetruck passing by almost every 5 damn minutes. No, I didn't bother looking, but I was fucking annoyed.

Hell yes, I live at a busy intersection on a very Main St. (firetruck went by just as I was typing this)

I have a lot of friends on the rescue squads who volunteer for both EMS and fire dept. My fiance also volunteered for both.

I only leave my house to buy food so I can eat and have energy to stay alive. Other than that, even a helicopter crashing in the street would probably not arouse my curiosity enough to leave the house, let alone an ambulance wailing.

Nope. What a difference a few blocks make.

I used to live a few roads over. It was not a main thourough fare, but it was a busy secondary street. Anyways, there was a retirement community down the road. The fire, and ambulance and police were ALWAYS going down there. I would bet on average, at LEAST once a day easily.

While I still live by that place, I am a few roads away now, and in a neighborhood. I have yet to hear a fire or ambulance go by, but, I would not check even if I did. Call me de-sensitized.

I saw an ambulance wander past a couple of times on my security monitor the other day. Unusual because this is a quiet residential street (a circuit, not a through-road) and it was about 4am. I hope the second time was when they had a patient and were on their way to a hospital, otherwise they were probably lost... they had their side spotlights on...

Ah, I was just curious, in my years alive I've noticed most of the times where I've lived, people frantically run to see what happen, like EVERYONE.

Was a fire I guess, I have a friend that lived down that way and called today and told me.
