Well, I would suggest regular pedicures by someone that knows what they are doing. Proper trimming can avoid all that crap. Since you are not taking care of your feet, make sure someone is.

I get a pedicure every 2 weeks, have for years.

No, I had the surgery a week ago to "fix the toe" up and stop the ingrowing. I visited them in Novemeber to clean up, now I took the surgery because it started to look bad again.

Yes you can, I had an infection when I went in and did the surgery. It were several ingrowing on the left side. As you can see, it's black there now, I don't have any clue if they did this properly, cause it werent black before or like this at all.

Man, do I want this done now. I will go to the podiatrist every second week. I just want to get well so bad. I cant run, I can barely walk, and it's been worse now since the surgery.

Im gonna start taking medication tomorrow, it may heal itself.

But I guess, the big toe will never look the same.

the above post isn't to be mean or unsympathetic - but if you haven't been laid in 6 years and it's bothering you don't use something like an ingrown toenail deflect your attention away from the real problem or you'll never get past it - because once your toe is better you'll just move on to some other problem and use that as an excuse.

i used to go to a shrink and wait in the waiting area each week - there was this young East Indian guy there often, every time I saw him all he wanted me to look at was this mark/mole on his nose - he was obsessed with it, it wasn't even an ugly thing, just a dark kinda small splotch on his nose, something people would barely notice and if they did not even think it was anything bad, but he had let it become a huge obsession.
