Cheap Ciggarette shops showing up as referrer in web stats? - GoFuckYourself.com

Anyone else had this before?

I run a web develop forum and I saw this in awstats:

http://www.cheap-24h.com - 7 unique visitors.

I haven't purchased any traffic or whatever, nor can I see a backlink on that site.

Might be a n00b question to some of you, but I've never had this shit before.

its people from the site either navigating to a bookmark to your site, or type in traffic coming from the site

i get a lot of referrers from odd websites i have never heard of before

My forum isn't huge so that wouldn't really explain the 7 uniques too well

I was thinking more some kind of method to spam?

Its called "referrer spam"
they get traffic by spamming their URL as referrer in your logs. Some awstats have public stats which results in backlinks to their site.
