IMO the market always overshoot in the opposite direction of its long-term trend. Think about it, how many pieces of bad news about the economy have we had in the last 3 months? The housing news today is maybe 1 of a handful at most pieces of good news in that time, and that's enough for a 500 pt gain? It's coming right back down and further by the end of the week.
