Need advice from web developers / designers

Do you keep your adult portfolio separated from the mainstream one?

Is it bad for business to advertise your mainstream website on an adult forum ? Is GFY even indexed by search engines ?

Well, my question is: should I build another website strictly dedicated to adult stuff.

Cheers,
sYsk

Yeah, keep it seperated.

Posting it on adult forums shouldn't make that much of a difference, but if you're concerned about people finding out you can also link to it from your adult portfolio using a noindex page.

More than that.

- Keep them on separate servers, preferably even separate hosts
- Keep all emails, whois information independent of one another
- Don't link to and from adult to mainstream

Consider it a separate entity. Business 1 and Business 2.

With reverse IP tools and companies storing data online to match your mainstream information to your adult information, one could harm the other if you plan on seeking investment or sale in the future.

Just my opinion, not because you should be ashamed of adult

Keep your adult stuff soo far hidden from your mainstream stuff the only way anyone can find it is if you tell them.

Adult = The Devil to most people.. They will compare you to the likes of a drug dealer and rapist.

Keep them separated.

and I wouldn't even recommend you ever posting a mainstream folio on gfy. Have your new and potential clients contact you for the link. Even if you don't see any harm in it, your old clients will see things differently.

Kept it together (well linked to the Adult one) then I realized I sent out a resume to a job I was applying for with my adult portfolio linked from the main page..

will never do that again ;)

Thanks for the advice everyone.

I'll keep both sites on different IPs and won't cross link and mix adult/mainstream
