OK, menu plan no problem notice I didn't say diet plan reason being when going on a diet means you're changing your eating habit then when desired results have been achieved you go back to your old eating habit which got you into trouble in the first place, what does this mean it means chance your eating habit full stop DO NOT go back to your old habit otherwise you'll be asking again how to loose your gut.

First you must eat fats yes fats, but only the good type, all nuts are a good choice I won't go into detail just trust me on this, i'll get back to this in a minute.

Next beside protein and fats you must eat carbohydrates, just not a lot the body can only utilize a certain amount each day any excess will be stored as fats. At best even if you train your friggen balls off you only need about 100grams daily, bowl of rice, one or two pieces of fruit and you're there, but I prefer to eat vegetables for my source of carbs.

Sample menu plan;

Meal 1). Two or three whole boiled eggs with one wholemeal slice bread. (don't worry about the cholesterol), yolk contains most of the nutrients in an egg, I’m tired of scaremongering retards going on about how bad the yolk is , fuck off do some research first or better ………………..never mind lets move on.

Meal 2). Hand full raw mixed nuts (no salt) 1 yoghurt natural.

Meal 3). Half chicken breast with green vegetables, if you must fry your chicken use olive oil, grilled is better.

Meal 4). Same as meal two.

Meal 5). Fish with vegetables (no peas, carrots, corn or potato)

So you’re watching TV you want something to nibble grab a hand full of nuts, at the beginning I mentioned to eat good fats, nuts are what we call essential fatty acids (EFA’s) plus they carry 9cals per gram this won’t feel you leaving hungry all the time.

As for drinks, drink plenty of water, diet soda’s are ok but limit them, what about teas or coffee’s no problem, don’t add sugar or milk.

Ok so your Bud blows into town, says hey bro lets go have a pizza what do you do?

A. Say no thanks I’m on a diet

OR

B. Screw the diet lets eat

For starters you’re not on a diet you’re changing your eating habit, so go with B, “really” yes eating habits is something you do for a very long time don’t stop enjoying life, if you eat junk food once a week who cares , you eat it everyday now thing will change for the worse.

The above is just a sample on how to begin later as you loose weight you can add a little more carbs or increase the portions.

cardio.

Cardio

Cardio

see what I'm saying?

If you lose any fat on your abs from crunches, it will be because you did 1000 of them -- which basically turned it into a cardio session.

Eat 5 or 6 small meals, instead of 3 big ones.

Eat larger meal in morning, and taper off during the day. Each meal doesn't have to be a big project. Carrots and an apple can count as a meal.

Do cardio.

Another thing that helps me is doing 2 cardios a day. A 15 minutes session in the morning, and a longer one at night.

Then so some more cardio.

Cut out refined sugar.

Then do some cardio.

Don't listen to anyone who tells you to do 50 midsection twists, and 80 hanging leg lift bullshits, or even crunches. You have to burn the fat over your ab muscles, before you can see them. Diet + Cardio = nice abs.

what Phaseman said! You definitely have to "eat better". Cut out the partially hydrogenated crap and high fructose corn syrup. Cut down on the sugar and drink tons of water.

You have to get *some* exercise in too though - building muscle will raise your metabolism (don't need to go all Arnold - just get in better shape).

Give P90X a shot (yeah, the one on the infomercial). The wife and I did it 6 mos ago and it really does work. I'm 40(ish), 6' and I went from 186lbs to 160lbs - 36" waist to 32/33" - and 25% body fat to 17% - all in less than 90 days. And I *hate* exercising!

p90x[dot]com

p.s. i'm on my way out the door to pick up a pepperoni / tomato slice pizza... ya gotta splurge a lil! Good luck w/ the gut!

There is a very easy way to do this without the work you have listed. I do it in reverse in attempts to put on weight. Aside from step 3, I still eat healthy.

Step 1. Throw away/donate current plates and bowls.
Step 2. Buy new plates and bowls - just much smaller ones.
Step 3. Try to slowly make your overall diet more healthy.
*Naturally eat at home more often, and make the actual dishes.

Some of you all are pretty serious and or crazy with what you want others to cut out. Red meats, grains, alcohol, salt, fried food, etc. These are all perfectly fine in moderation and you can point to many country examples to see that it is true.

I know there are some out there that see food only as fuel, but for everyone else - lets not get to crazy about this shit.

All I know is I lost 35 lbs since Nov nearly ripped now, super low body fat, actually need to put back on about 8lbs I think, and ignored most of the advice I got in the gfy threads. Some of it was good, but a lot of being able to lose weight depends on your individual body chemistry and metabolism.

Keep it coming guys, getting lot's of good info... or at least an easy gen ed course in healthy living. I will tell you one thing, I love alcohol - so the chances of me cutting that out of the picture are slim to none. However, I have pretty much quite drinking beer entirely.

I'm 27, 190 lbs, and 6' tall. Pretty much all my weight is in my gut area and it needs to go. I was 130 when I was 18 if that tells you anything.

You will never weigh 130 again. You are turning into a man. You are going to begin filling out and you will grow hair in new places.

Don't they teach this stuff in school anymore?

haha, I know that much man. I'm not trying to get back to that weight. But an extra 60 lbs on that frame is fucked up.

There is no need to sacrifice any food or drink you like, however anything you abuse will have a negative impact. Instead of focusing on your weight focus on your body fat.

Body weight is irrelevant if you weigh 200lbs with 10% body fat you're in good shape, if you weigh 190lbs with 30% body fat you have a problem.

There are no quick fixes loosing a pond fat a week is considered ideal any more it will be water and muscle, in 12 weeks you will have lost 12lbs (5.4kg) of fat, maybe that doesn't sound like a whole lot but place 11 tubs of butter on the table and that's what you will have lost, and remember you can't flex fat.
