I really hate ebay buyers... fuck 'em

So I sold my PS3 for $375 online and packed it tightly and shipped it in working order. Marked the sale "no refund" as I don't want to deal with sissy buyers who change their mind after they buy it and wimp out. I get a message stating that it's not working and there are issues which is 100% BS. The next day I get a message stating that it's fine and they got a new ac adapter, which it didn't need. Today I get a note stating that he wants to send it back and wants a refund.

I sent him a note stating it works 100%, there are no issues (which there weren't), and no refund is possible. Told him to take it up w/ Paypal.

Since I marked it "no refunds/returns", am I safe here? Know paypal will open a dispute and then here both parties, but think I covered myself with that statement. Any info from ebay veterans?

Tough one. You may win the PP, but lose on the eBay rating or feedback.

With PP payments, you have to make sure you ship the shit to people with tracking. Even if just docs that go with purchase.

yeah, it has tracking # and packed it 200% safe. Dude is sicking me around on the sale. I could care less w/ ebay after this. Too many fucking losers and crybaby's on that site. Gimme a negative feedback, don't care. Just don't want this fucker to win a BS debate.

I don't mess w/ people selling them bogus merchandise and stuff. Just didn't use the PS3 and sold it for a decent price. It was the 60GB model that plays ps1/ps2 games. He stated to me that he looked online and saw other people having problems w/ those units. So why did he buy it then, knowing it had problems? This one didn't, but others may have an issue..

Total rant on my end, my fucking hate ebay. Buy something, then complain about it, and then want a refund. I marked it "no returns/refunds" to not deal with this type of stuff.

As stated in the auction.. The seller will not accept returns for this item.

I have seen similar auctions (as is, no refunds), so it will be interesting to see the result.

Just a FYI, as a shipper - always insure what you ship for the full amount, even if they buyer did not pay for it. It protects you.

In this case, he could of said hey its broken. You say sorry to hear that - take it up with the post office and they will get you a refund or whatever. Same goes with the never arrived BS.

Insurance really does not protect buyers and is there to protect sellers if you think about it.

Nope, Paypal will side with the buyer EVERYTIME. Paypal will require they send it back and have the buyer send them the tracking number and they get their money back. I've heard of cases where people send back a box of rocks and Paypal won't do a thing. Paypal fucking sucks.

yeah, ebay and PP can kiss my ass at this moment. Screw the sellers and protect the buyers. Haven't got a response from the buyer yet to my message but expect a dispute in the morning.

it was shipped in packing noodles and protected in bubble wrap so i'm sure it's their fault. Probably jacked it up doing something and then broke it. Then now are crying for a refund.

The PP account is connected to a backup checking account that I don't use. I'm closing it tomorrow morning so I don't have a chargeback on the account.

Totally pissed at 12:30am. Not good... Not good

Another thing buyers pull is they have something thats broke (like a PSP) and buy one on ebay then claim the new one was broke and then send their broken one back. They get a working item for free and there's not a damn thing you can do about it. If you're going to sell items over $100 don't take PaySuck.

yeah, the other thing that pisses me off is that the sale was for two controllers. He asked if he could keep one controller for the cost of the transaction. WTF?

Reading a bunch and now 300% done w/ PP and EBay. I'm done. EBAY AND PAYPAL SUCK

I had the same thing happen to me once. I sold an old camera I didn't need and the guy that bought it started complaining about some BS. I was 100% sure that everything was fine, so I just told the guy he could take it up with the police (it was a bank transfer not paypal) and the guy let go. The guy didn't even leave me negative feedback. He must have been worried I would have given a negative to him as well.

ebay is full of thieves and liars IMO.

years ago I sold someone my PS2 when I was in college. was working perfectly fine and then he disputes the charge with paypal saying it does not work. so I had him send it back and luckily I took a picture of the serial number before i sent it out and he sent me a completely different one.

I had to end up filing a police complaint with him and took WEEKS to get the money back from paypal. i would never sell anything of value on that site again

Wrong. He won't win and it doesnt matter if he said no refunds or all sales final, he is still bound by Paypals TOS.

had a guy leave me negative feedback for NON-PAYMENT and called me a SCAMMER...

6 hours after the auction ended

Was not a nice thing to awake to.

needless to say, ebay removed the feedback as well as him from their system.

And this is the numero uno reason why I will never use eBay as a seller... way too many people trying to scam because it's so bloody easy.

Tell that they have to send it back in teh same condition that it went out in, and that after you have receive it, you will match the serial numbers, and inspect it for the "mark" that you put on it.

You will probably never hear from them again.

If they do send it back, and they don't require a signature, then you just never got it.

I sell a good little bit on ebay, but would never sell anything there that I wasn't prepared to take the hit on $$$-wise. Way too many theives on there, and paypal will back them nearly every time.

Thats the type of shit that made me leave ebay. I had many auctions on there since the first or second year they started. I thought it was great, but when they and paypal started working only for the buyers I left. Apparently the buyers are always right, even when its obviously fraud. Fuck ebay and paypal.

he had 100% feedback/147. He launched the dispute late last night and I fired off a full rebuttal this afternoon. I'm done with Ebay and PP after this. Too many outstanding issues w/ PP protecting the buyers 99% of the time. I'm sure they'll side w/ him and then I'll get screwed with a damaged PS3 as well. If it comes back damaged, I'll file a police report against him though. Sick of playing piss games with ebay users who shouldn't have found the internet at all.

Yeah, in hind sight I should've sold it on CL or insured the package at $500 to protect myself, or just stayed away from Ebay at all.

I've had 0% luck as a ebay seller and any disputes. Had a laptop sold and the guy disputed the sale and returned the laptop without the AC cord. Asked him about the cord and he said he didn't have it. Fucker...

Ebay and Paypal had their day but it's gotten too big and corporate oriented for decent sellers to make a buck. Between fees and high listing prices, it's a waste. The buyers are always right and the sellers are there to fuck over the buyers in their minds.

We'll see and I'll post details for anyone interested.

when i was 18ish i bought 2 laptops and tried to sell them for more, put the listing up sold the laptops got cheques for it all, one of it was US postal service ones and the other was like a bank cashiers check, so i send out the stuff and the next day or something Paypal decides to freeze my account (back then they did that just for shits n gigs) and wanted me to fax them all my stuff - and decided to freeze the ebay account with it. So this was on like a Thursday, that Friday I shipped everything out and I only know that because on Saturday some black dude shows up at my house saying he drove from New York and wants his money back. So I tell him what happened and told him to return the package and wrote him a cheque and told him I'd cash it when I got the laptop, he sent it back but not before scaring the shit out of my mom, calling the cops on me and all that fuss (because of him not having it literally 2 days after he won it) I had a perfect feedback (something liek 50 perfect).

The worst part was that the other payment, the US postal order, got reversed and I never got the computer back or anything. It cashed, and 10-15 days after it cashed all of a sudden the bank calls me and tells me sorry we had to reverse the payment and I got fucked there. Last time I ever sold something on eBay.

most ebay buyers think that all sellers are very desperate a while ago I listed something there a pretty expensive item but my starting bid was very low with no reserve, obviously everyone is convinced I must be very desperate, I got all these emails offering me less then my starting bid and they wrote letters as to how their offer is great and they are cash buyers (what the fuck else are they gonna use toilet paper?) and with the economy the way it is they are risking even giving me all this money...

Yep paypal always sides with the buyer which leads to massive fraud. Not only that but Ebay took away the ability for sellers to leave negative feedback on buyers. So now a buyer can continue to fuck over seller after seller and no one is the wiser. Yet that buer can leave negative feedback on the seller even if untrue. Ebay needs to learn that if sellers get sick of their bullshit and don't sell it doesn't matter how many buyers they have there won't be anything to buy.
