Did you guys see the 100mpg H3 on CNBC ?

CNBC just had a segment featuring a 100mpg H3 that has to be charged. If you drive more than 65 miles before you charge again the mpg drops. They didn't mention what it does to your electric bill though. Does anyone have an idea how much the plug-in cars raise your monthly electric bill?

It might be less, though...energy from coal is cheaper than gasoline when done in a power plant (which are more efficient than vehicle engines since they don't have to be engineered around size and weight constraints) and nuke plants are way, way more efficient.

This is what no one seems to think about. Electric cars still need energy to run.

Here in California they are talking about making a law that will ban large flat screen tvs because they consume too much energy. Imagine if everyone in California suddenly started plugging in electric cars...... I swear, they need to upgrade our power grid in a big way.
