:stop Swine flu? Pfffft, watch out for the Swine Ebola virus

Quote:
A form of Ebola virus has been detected in pigs for the first time, raising concerns it could mutate and pose a new risk to humans.
...
Rresearchers are concerned that pigs might provide a melting pot where the virus could mutate into something more menacing for humans.
...
Pigs are known to provide an ideal host for viruses to mutate. Experts say the potential risk is magnified because they are an essential part of the human food chain, and come into close contact with people.

Dude, a global EBOLA pandemic would be... well, it would kill hundreds of millions of people. Maybe even half the worlds population. End of days type of shit.

Ebola is no fucking joke. I've read a few books on it, you do not want to die this way.

Have you ever noticed you almost constantly think something horrible is coming down the pipe?

As far as I know very aggressive Viruses with a high mortality rate as ebola are very very very unlikely to spread over a larger population, simply because they kill their host much too fast before they could infect any other hosts

And when it does, I'm ready for it.

But in this case I said IF. IF Ebola mutates and can be passed as easily as swine flu or even the common flu, that is bad fucking news. If you think otherwise, you need to have your head examined.

The well informed and prepared survive and prosper, the weak and unprepared do not. It doesn't matter to me if you listen to what I say or not, but there is nothing wrong with being prepared for a worst case scenario, it just may save your life someday.

This is true with ebola as it is now. That's why it usually stays in remote areas of Africa. I'm just saying if it were to mutate with something like the flu, that would be beyond horrible. You never even think about something as horrible as ebola mutating.
