but there were a few things that happened on that trip that haven't been openly talked about.

You can tell they weren't faked, because at one point you can see straight through one of the astronauts (can see through him to make out the edge of the moon) because of the radiation. (like an xray).

Several Cosmonauts did talk about it years ago, claiming that in there pre-lunar-missions a dozen comrades burned up in the Van Allen Belts, but during the time not a lot of US people we're reading Pravda so we didn't hear about it.

Having said that, it was probably Russian propaganda in the first place intended to frustrate the US and put doubt in the minds of millions abroad.

Yep the point was that the cosmonauts or Russian propaganda machine cited the Van Allen Belts as the major barrier (not me). Whereas these days we know there are few places in the belt that are really dangerous. It's a matter of passing through at the right time and the right area to only suffer a minimum of radiation exposure.

Apollo program researchers have debated back and forth - did NASA really have the equipment at the time to know where and when to pass through the belts in order not to fry and I tend to think they winged it!

I'm told that the scientists that run the earth-based experiments (i.e. the ones that shoot the lasers), are - typically - happy to receive anyone who wants to stop by for a chat. I imagine that you could probably get a demonstration out of them, too, provided you stop by at the right time.

hehe... but by that point, I imagine that any "free-thinking" individual would have to realize that it could all be an elaborate front that the governments (all 5 or 6 of them) put up to convince those of weaker resolve.

All I will say is this, if the Russians or japanese or Americans could go to the moon, we would have already set up walls and started claiming craters for countries who occupy them. I wont go as far as to claim the landings were faked, but some questions still arise in my mind of why articles even today claim Japanese and Russians are studying our landing area from photos but somehow we were trying to "beat" them to the moon before, how come they havent gone and showed us they can do it too?

I find it really astouding that with the technology we have today that no other country has done what we claim to have done decades ago.
