Pyramid time management

Anyone use this? You make a quick to do list and rate them by how much money they will make you. then start with the one that makes the most money, second etc. I have done it for years, and i really like it as an idea. Stupid stuff that does not make a lot of money tend to never get done but then what do you care?

Wiping your ass doesn't make money, so - you don't do it?

Well you don't make it a priority anyways. In this case, eating food doesn't make money either.. rather it takes money to eat, so stop eating and you won't need to wipe your ass either. 2 for the price of 1 day today on GFY!

Might more or less work if you have a complete and total control over your time, tasks and reign with a crystal clear judgement.

Definitely devaluated by hassling with processes that should work and don't, unfortunately there's no process, no matter if it involves people, tech or a combination of both, that would be 100 pct. reliable and you simply have to solve those.

Also, as Ike Eisenhower said - you shouldn't be planning more than 60 pct. of your workday, otherwise you won't get your plan done, I find it more or less true.

Lately I've been more into "not do lists" than "to do lists." We often get overwhelmed by everything that we need "to do" and totally lose sight of the things that are actually important. The "not do lists" helps filter out the extra "crap" that isn't really necessary.

I've never heard of the pyramid system but it sounds like a basic prioritization list?

Obviously taking time to live is priority #1, but it's a great idea to prioritize your other time by what makes you money.

The thing with that is... every "great politician", "great businessman", "great philosopher", has a different outlook as to what "works best." The truth is, what works best for one person may not work best for another person. So what you need to do is look at all sorts of different methods, pick them apart, and find what works best for YOUR life. Trying to mold your self into a system that works for someone else is going to be very difficult and not very "natural."
