Mr Mainstream to the rescue here :-). Social networking means more content, content means more SEO Friendly, Seo friendly means more traffic to your website. In my opinion build on what you got :-)

You're going to have a tough time competing with the current social bigwigs. Why not just adapt your games to facebook appz, and leach off facebook's popularity instead of gunning for your own independent social network? (which more than likely won't go anywhere)

I am no guru, but I have a social networking website for the sport of Handball...with only 1 hardlink and no promotion it has 650 members, I have a very good domain name.
Your current social network domain name is not very good and it is most likely you will have trouble getting members. I think of something Chat related instead of social networking. I think you should go with the social network for online games. This would be a social network for a specific niche/interest in which can be successful. I would look for a cool domain name to start. I also assume your into online games, because with my experiences with mainstream websites is that unless your selling a product it helps to be passionate about the website your promoting. I love the sport of NYC Handball so it makes it easy to run a Handball related website. I notice your using buddypress.org is this easy to set up? and is there other themes or does everything need to be custom made by a programmer? I am using a popular online social networking platform that is really inexpensive...and takes a couple of minutes to set up. email me if you want more info: handballjim [at] yahoo |

1.) Take stock of your skills.
I think you are in the stage where you want to do something, but you don't really have a great idea yet about what to do. |
