Sure, the sales may be there, but nowhere near as there as the sites that brand themselves for their quality, exclusivity and frequent REAL updates.
I agree with that 100%. Porn surfers are now signing up for brand names - sites they've heard of before or sites that their friends recommend. And if you have the same stale tour that doesn't highlight your latest high quality updates then sales will be fewer and farther between than ever before.

The surfer is no longer stupid.

Could be but I have 2 progs right now that are converting and retaing like a mo-fo and I have others that have hit 0 in 10,000 and two that have hit 0 in 20,000 (on clicked, non blind traffic).

So why would a sponsor shave me. They are about to lose 300 hits a day each after years of profit between us. No I'm not big time but that's 100,000 hits each year after year lost. Hits add up. Shaving is bad business sense if your a real sponsor. And it is the REAL sponsors who are getting it done now days. Not forgotten progs, mom and pop, and such. (With exceptions of course)

Nah they're not shaving. They're just not converting.

Webmasters should also be focusing on $ per unique not just conversion ratios.

The reason I say that is because some programs convert poorly for me but rebill like fucking crazy!

We are promoting PlatinumBucks also, and sales have dissapeared. Still waiting for a few small small checks.

Not that my opinion matters much, but I think it's because to sign up for the Platinum free sites programs, the consumer needs $ 80 of credit available on their credit card. What consumer, who buys porn on a regular basis, has $ 80 credit available? Most consumers (porn addicts) are barely under the limit and when they make a payment, might be able to buy a site for $20 or $ 30.... but not $ 80. The consumer doesn't have to pay the $ 80 if he cancels, but, the $ 80 is allocated at the sign up, and if he doesn't have it, can't sign up and the affiliate doesn't get paid. I think the allocation should be $ 40, and just lower the PPS accordingly...better to get some volume, rather than a huge credit allocation of funds, that most likely, doesn't even exist. I just can't see these high pps sites surviving the long haul in the future with regular photo/video sites that consumers can get for free w/tube sites. We're shopping Cam sites now, as we believe are going to be the new staple with online porn. People will pay for "live" porn, and get the pre recorded stuff for free.

All of the small sponsors are getting smaller and for the most part, the big sponsors are getting bigger. The reason for this trend is that the smaller sponsors can not compete with all of the free and stolen content out there. The big paysites have enough content to still bang out some profit by keeping the tubes filled with their fresh content.

The Cam site is the newly best converting site. Other than that anything listed under the "newest paysites" menu item in the linking code center are the 2nd best converting.

So when your car starts to give you trouble, do you just wait till it falls apart or do you go and talk with a mechanic and see what the issue is. Or do you wait for them to call you???

You have hundreds of affiliate programs that you promote, and I under stand that. Got any idea how many affiliates those programs have???

I do under stand that its time consuming but that's why we call it business. And I also understand that some affiliate managers have not been able to help. But that does not mean that all of us are useless.

I tried contacting your support at least 10 times this year already, sent AT LEAST 5 e-mails, and never got a reply.

And all I wanted was some content or a user/pass to the members area to grab my own stuff.

Needless to say that because of the complete lack of replies I dropped your program.

Hello PornHero....

I am a bit embarrased to see Blazingbucks in your list, not so much for the bad conversions, but as you pointed out for not contacting you when we noticed your sales dropping. Unfortunately, we are deep enough staff wise to do such. I will say, if you had contact me personally, I would have done my nest to look over your account and see what can be done if anything.

I dont have your ICQ #, so, cant contact you that way.. I will shoot you an email, hoping for a reply. Otherwise, please be sure to contact me to discuss your account. I have looked it over and have some ways to imporve it.

Thank you

TopBucks converts for me. You also mentioned Gammacash, they still convert for me and I don't send them much traffic at all, (just a little search engine traffic from a PR1 site).

Hi Blazing,

thanks for getting in touch. I used to be rocking with Blazing Bucks a couple years ago but the sales just tapered off down to zero. Just checked StatsRemote and I am 0:6000 so far this year. This is all search engine traffic as that's the only traffic I deal with.

I would be happy to discuss any suggestions you have. Lets chat next week on ICQ - my ICQ# is 161550420

Thanks for bringing this up pornhero ....

Every site looks like every other site (cookie cutter) and every other site looks lame.

I wouldn't buy a membership ... why should my surfers?

To the paysites (owners) - I know it's hard to come up with something new and creative. But that's what's needed. Every new site you launch comes with so much HYPE but really when you look at it, it is the same old same old. Like I said, it's not easy, it's lots of work but what's the alternative?

Nice post. I used to be very wary of sponsors that seem to launch a new paysite every month. Many times it was simply a NEW TOUR they were promoting, not really a new paysite.

And I certainly dont like sitetours that dont show the most recent updates to a pornsite. People are now accustomed to seeing updates & activity on social networking sites so they expect the same from pornsites. If you are a sponsor with stale tours that don't update then you are living on borrowed time.

And if you know the name of a sponsor but cant name of any of its sites off-hand then thats a branding problem for the sponsor.

I think its much better to create a brandname for yourself in the eyes of surfers rather than just pumping out site after site, tour after tour like the old days.

BangBros, RealityKings, Met Models, Simon Scans, Porn Pros - they are all brandnames that aim to please.

The internet loves brandnames.

Hi pornguy,

my sportscar (i.e. my search engine traffic) wasn't giving me trouble... the road I was driving it on (ie a certain sponsor program) was full of potholes and I saw a dead-end ahead. So I made a right turn onto a smooth paved road (i.e. Porn Pros) to drive my sports car on and I am now a happy driver.

Honestly though, thanks for the offer no offense but as I stated in my other thread I am focusing on webcams from now on.

I stopped promoting them in 2007. What can I say, I don't like sale refunds after 6 months in the stats

Honestly though, thanks for the offer no offense but as I stated in my other thread I am focusing on webcams from now on.
You must consider this too. Your search engine traffic is not as valuable as it used to be. You may get the #1 spot for a model only to have below you 9 other listings for rapidshare, file downloads, known forums, torrents and the usual large tube sites. I can guarantee you your #1 spot has become invisible! Surfers now know what to search for. Google index is absolutely infested with these free offerings and users of Google know. They have known for a while where to look. But now they KNOW. As soon as they land on a page result they will go for the jugular, meaning your landing page doesn't exist if it is not referred to in some ways as meaty content that was probably stolen. I only do search too and been doing it for the last 7 years and the change in value since 2007/2008 has been dramatic.

for all affiliate managers which are eager to help...
please convince program owners/directors to fight tubes/rapidshare (or similar shit)/torrents. It's possible, there are some companies which would even do it for you. Most of rapidshare-like sites will remove your content when asked to do so.

I.E.
theadultgroup.com/track/MjE2OjE5OjQ/ - they've started fighting with illegal content for site "dirty lilly" few months ago. Ratio is significantly better every month.

I can't understand how anyone could pay hundreds tousands of dollars for content, and later don't care about that some shithead put's their whole content anywhere for free.

Great points. I agree with you, the surfer is no longer stupid.

The path of the righteous paysite is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men.

And you can DMCA those torrents, forums, etc. right off that search page if it has your stolen content on it. RemoveYourContent does it all the time for me.

I am not so much a content guy but a traffic guy, meaning I don't operate a site except for a small experiment I still manage. When dealing with traffic and search engines even the last crevice of the indexes is filled with vast amounts of free, stolen content. It is staggering. In fact, it is coming out of my ears as I write. Sure you can pick a few keywords, a few niches and a few models that remain underpromoted, but I have to look under my armpit to find them.

One company, one group, one website owner can successfully control how his/her content is spread or not for free over the internet, as you suggested. And if I were a site owner I would definitely try to stay on top. But guys doing traffic like me, are having a hard time. It's like the 10,000 immortals from the Battle of Thermopylae. You kill them, and there come another 10,000. Poor spartans died in 3 days. For us, it may be a slower bleeding unless like PornHero we switch to fight battles with better odds.

This is true and I wonder if it's just the fact that seeing all this content given away for free devalues that content to the point that no-one will pay for it even if they don't want to visit the torrent sites to download it for free? I.e it's human nature to want what you can't have, and if you know you can get it for free it makes you no longer want it?

That's why as an affiliate you have to search for paysites to promote who actively protect their stuff.

A lot of the bigger programs that I once made a lot of money on don't sell anymore because their entire members areas are available for free EVERYWHERE.

That's why Claudia-Marie still sells well. They have to join to see the new updates.

And over the weekend I found a sponsor I had never heard of before with some really good granny niche stuff. I took a look at it and was kinda like "Ewww, that's nasty"

But my experience over the last year has been that "granny" is a niche that is NOT all over the tubes and torrents as much because of webmaster bias against it (we all personally want to see young hot bitches...which sometimes subconciouslyl clouds our judgement)

So I started promoting them on Saturday and I'm already seeing nice sales and a 1:675 ratio...which 2 years ago would have them on the verge of me dropping them, but these days makes them one of the top converting paysite programs.

I think if a model or scene hits a nerve, a guy will almost certainly reach for his wallet. Even if a AIM54 phoenix missile lands on his roof. The difference with the past is that, thay guy would scour the net for free content for a day or two before giving up. Today, with all the free content, that may take weeks or months. And you risk that in the process he finds new stuff that he likes leading yet to another lengthy search.

Robbie, great truth. Some sponsors -perhaps like you- are very good at limiting content leaking and indeed the results are much better trying to promote them.

Thank you for posting this because I have posted it in a few threads and it has been ignored. It completely befuddles me that more programs don't do this, especially since it barely takes an effort. If you have a solo girl or a porn star official site and you are not sending DMCA's to Google to remove her torrent/tube/file sharing listings from their results then you should never open your mouth and bitch about poor sales.

For anyone that doesn't understand type in Claudia Maire in Google and you will see mostly legitimate affiliate sites. Type in any other porn star or solo girl and prepare to be sick...

I dont have your ICQ #, so, cant contact you that way.. I will shoot you an email, hoping for a reply. Otherwise, please be sure to contact me to discuss your account. I have looked it over and have some ways to improve it.

Thank you
Hi all, I just wanted to post an update to this thread - I icq'd with Mark from http://blazingbucks.com last week - he was very helpful by spending time analyzing my traffic sources and informing me about what's selling and what isn't with his program. He was the only sponsor mentioned in my opening post to get in touch with me via ICQ.

I will be sending pornstar traffic to his newer pornstar sites including BreeOlson.com & AaliyahLove.com as he suggested.

Thanks again Mark
