Yeah, and that is kind of the point I was trying to make to some of the tube newbies. The actual cost of the script itself is only one component of the costs to get your tube up and running. (excluding hosting) It was not my intention to knock any of the scripts. The ones I looked at and have used all have strong points, but IMO none of them are a complete package out of the box.

It's not the script nor the player. He said he uses JW player and it is capable of scrubbing into the non-downloaded portion. However, you need serverside support for streaming which I believe will cost you more than regular server.

Lighttpd is open-source (free) and allows for streaming flash video files and scrubbing.

heh if you scrub using that xmoov php script, your servers gonna crash damned quickly. We tried it on a larger tube site once and it took no more then 2 or 3 seconds to lock up the box.

snizzshare runs my tube script, jw player and hosts via lighttpd from what i can see

as a surfer I really like the idea of being able to skip ahead so that's something i would totally REQUIRE from any TUBE script i might buy

yep, when various closed pornpunk we transferred the script to snizzshare. once it was running my traffic grew pretty quickly because the old site ran on clipshare and was starting to buckle. konrad has the best script that i have ever used
