Just curious what you all think of this. If a newbie came into the adult business with no contacts and set a goal of making $500 a day within a year, do you think thats a realistic goal?

Of course anything is possible, but what are the chances of that goal coming true?

I know someone who submits 4 galleries a day and 2 free sites a day and isnt making half of that. And thats a lot of work to do all that.

Definitely possible. But they must apply themselves much more today than in the golden days. Steering off of the path already beat by most would be a good idea also.

anyone can make $500 in revenue, but profit, thats a completely different story. shit, i could make $2,000 a day in revenue but with these companies not paying or not paying on time, thats a pretty big gamble IMO

i had one answer in mind then i read your last sentance. if you think 4 galleries and 2 free sites a day is a lot of work then my answer changes to fuck no it is not possible.

Realistic business plan is a must otherwise it would be a year wasted, a lot of reading at first will help build a plan, there is enough people that stay from the social industry that make a killing anything is possible but a direction is a must with constant hard work.

I totally disagree, the veteran will make more any day, the newbie might know a little html, php some design work etc... but the veteran has one thing the newbie doesn't, knowledge and experience and can easily setup a business plan while the newbie will sit and put in hard work with trial and error...

Of course it's possible, and it may even be easier... veterans are polluted with thoughts like "blogs", "tubes", "galleries", etc so most are stuck thinking inside the box...

a newbie with a fresh mind could very easily come up with a way to make $500/day using some new innovative way...

What he said ^^^^ submitting 4 gal's and 2 free sites is not alot. Unless your friend is only doing this a few hrs per day and not dedicating full time into it. In which case, hell no, theres no way to make 500 a day doing it that way. But thats just my 2 cents.

Defo possible, would take a while to do $500 a day in profits, could easily shoot to $500 income a day with some money to start up but it would take a while to tweak shit out and find what works and what doesn't work in order to profit $500 a day.

I was talking to an old friend of mine from when we both started in the biz, he was always kinda small time, small mgp's and a very very low budget paysite. In the last year he has been learning and listening and the guy is now making over $750 a day profits - up from $200 a day in 2008. All the best to him, he certainly deserves it.

I'm asking for myself. I've been pretty much part time in adult and I make like $50 to $100 a day in it. Which for me is great extra pocket money.
I got laid off a little while back and now starting to feel my back against the wall and Im thinking of just going full time working from home. And Im debating about working full time in adult, or doing something mainstream. My first love is really adult but all the "Sky is falling" stuff makes me think its better to diversify and try something in a different field.

all I know how to do in adult is:
- Promote other peoples pay sites
- Make amateur looking pay sites (I already have a paid ccbill and visa account)
- Make and submit galleries
- I have a small mature-niche dating site and I haven't been promoting.

I never really did avs sites or free sites, I always went after the faster traffic of tgps.
I dont know anything else. People here talk about "thinking out of the box" and being innovative but really the only things I see anyone doing are tubs, tgps, paysites, avs (or aen whatever) sites, blogs, freesites, dating and cams. I dont see anything new about any of that.

I could spend a few thousand $$ against my credit cards but Im debating in myself where to spend it.

If my friend is doing all that work to make all those galleries and free sites and not making half of $500/day then I would get burned out.
And yes that is a lot of work to start from scratch and edit photos and do the design then submit them all. I dont know why you all say it isnt.

Clickhappy, I don't think it's impossible, though, I think it's highly unlikely unless you are coming in with a few good contacts and some money behind you.

If you can make $100 day. Copy exactly what you're doing 5 or 6 times more. Don't try to reinvent something. Copy whatever it is that makes you $100 a day, and copy it as many times as necessary.
