I'm sure he wasn't making much at all with webcams.com and switched back to streamate. I never got the sense he realized how much traffic it was going to take to take to convert sales. His few type ins just aren't going to make him much and streamate won't give him a cobrand with that little of traffic.

Well congrats on getting a streamate cobrand, hopefully you can get an affiliate program going. Just seemed a little weird that you did that logo contest, and put the logo on your webcams.com white label and then only left it up less than a month.

Domains generally are Long Term Investments. Hell they are good investments overall if you just set it and forget it (park them/forward them)

Lets say you buy Livecams.com and forward it to a big cam site paying 55/sale. Lets assume it does 3 sales a day, no more, no less. so 165 dollars a day income. Now multiply that by 365 days.

That's 60k/year

Thats 12% a year on your investment. You won't be getting that in any bank anytime soon. Not too mention your sitting on a great asset.

I suggest getting on Ricks Newsletter. I have purchased 3 domains off him this year already and I am very happy with each one.

"live cams" and "cam girls" have similar search frequencies, so assuming it gets 200 type ins a day like camgirls.com, conversion is about 1:300

If you can get to where hotcams is with their affiliate program, then congrats you're at least getting somewhere. The biggest issue you're going to have is how to market your streamate cobrand affiliate program. The reason I say that is because seasoned cam affiliates know that they're going to get the highest payout promoting streamate by promoting them directly via mtree since none of their cobrand affiliate programs can offer as high of a payout.
