I just got a wii recently, was looking into softmods or something else but haven't decided on anythign yet.

i have mine modded with wiikey, but i was pretty disappointed with the wii in general. I was expecting better graphics.

It's the games honestly.
The developers don't try for good looking graphics, because they feel if they went for realism they would be competing with the 360 and PS3. So the developers do cartoon shit.
Played Tiger Woods 2010 yet? Fairly decent graphics, I'd say. I'm playing right now actually.
My wife plays tons of GameCube, N64 and SNES games on it.

Softmod is a pretty good way to go.

Anyone using USB-loader?
I installed it a couple of days ago and it's a great application. I put all games on a USB-harddrive now, no more CD-burning for me.

a buddy of mine claims he modded his with some kind of Zelda game exploit. I don't know what it's all about because I barely have the time to play my xbox.

I have my Wii modded for my son, and I also MOD Xbox's....

I heard recently they finally have successfully modded the PS3...can't wait til its a proven success

That is most likely true. There was a softmod process involving a Zelda:Twilight Princess exploit, that is pretty out-dated and unnecessary.

I've done a bunch of Wiikey installs, but at this point there's no need.

Grab an SD card and download some files and you can softmod your Wii in about 15 minutes.

You don't even need to do the Zelda Twilight Princess exploit anymore.
