Useful software for the adult webmaster: post your list!
Here's my list:

Photoshop (for creating templates, thumbnails, etc.)
Dreamweaver (html and css)
LeechFTP (ftp software)
Ipswitch FTP (ftp software)
Multi Replace (for replacing text)
Arles (for creating image galleries)
Xat.com Image Optimizer (improve jpeg size)
VirtualDub (video editing)
Corel VideoStudio (video editing)
Sorenson Squeeze (video encoding and format conversion)
BlogDesk (for making blog posts)
Extract Link (extracts links from any text file)
FHGtoHTML (converts FHG to ready to paste HTML)
Nifty Stats (so you don't have to check stats on every sponsor)

These are the tools I've chosen after years of trying software that can really help me.

I'd like to hear from you about what software makes your day easier

Oh yeah, Windows Live Writer. Bar none the best blogging client ever created. You can create posts, format, crop images and then add them to your WP blog. ANY idiot can blog using Windows Live Writer.
