Camsense - New Terms

Just got an email from Camsense. They are changing the rules.

To be considered an Active Affiliate, you must deliver at minimum five (5) qualified spenders per month to a CC Network site.

CamSense has the option to discontinue the payouts for your referred visitors who have become qualified spenders on a CC Network site upon your failure to meet the criteria for an Active Affiliate over a two (2) month period.

You are going to see a lot of this kind of thing with sponsors. The first monies they go after is the affiliates. When a sponsor starts putting qualifications on your participation it may be time to disengage.

i got the email but never bothered to read it.

i bet loads of people have not.

thats realy not fair.

and they know a lot of people (like me) have banners on loads of sites due to promoting them over the years, so will not bother to remove (too much hassel).

And thats if they bothered to read the email.

I have been a big fan of theres too.

to be honest i am rather anoyed at this and feel a firm that i have been faithfuill to for years is treating me poorly.

No, I got ripped off. The players in that scheme just took everyone's money. And the main player is still going strong with a number of my sites still online. You might recognize the site V*****web.com. Same billing is there, just a name change.

its such a shame.

i wonder why they did it, unless the cost of the serbvers was more than they were making but i would have though they were making enough.

real shame.

i know it was not the tech peoples fault. It seems so long ago. all the forum posts and servers crashing.

so loooong ago now.

Trouble is if you've built up a good member base you're stuffed: if you take a stand on principle and drop your links you could be losing a significant amount of future earnings. I've been sending traffic since 2003.

nice to see some companies not afraid to still innovate.

We have been promoting camsense for a long time, in that time we build a nice returning rev share. With these terms it is almost impossible to stay an active affiliate. 1 shitty month and all that hard work would be gone...

This one is nice too, and you cannot control it :
One whose qualified spenders do not, in the aggregate, exceed chargebacks of 1½ % over a one (1) month period.
Did you ever run a camsite ? 1½% chargebacks in 1 month is very plausible !
