This is a sappy post that really doesn't belong on an adult webmaster board... but maybe it's not so inappropriate. We all have our reasons for doing what we do. My main reason is so that my son doesn't have to experience poverty, as I did growing up.

My son turns 3 today. He's my everything. I never knew I could love anything as much as I love him. I was in love from the moment he came into the world. I wouldn't even let my (now ex) wife change a single diaper for his first two weeks in the world. She is not a night person so I'd rent videos during the day and watch them at night while rocking him back to sleep each time he awakened. (SIDE NOTE - his mother and I are now divorced - seems extreme religion [her] doesn't mix with shooting adult content [me]). I would do anything for this kid. Every time I hear his voice my heart melts. He gets 100% of my attention when he speaks. Everyone else in the room can f--k off when he talks... they won't be listened to... my son is king in my book.

I am in the adult business so that I can provide him with the very best life possible. I hope he decides to enter the non-adult world when it's his time to make that decision, but I'll be there for him no matter what he does. I am in this business because I want to be able to afford to give him anything he wants (shooting adult content allows me to pay all his mother's bills for her: car payment, house payment, insurance... everything.... and give her $1,000 per month in addition to all that to spend as she wishes. I do this because she's a great mother and wants to be with my son so that he'll never have to experience day care).

I wish I could protect him from every single bad thing this world will throw his way. I'd die a horrible, painful death if it would assure him never having to have his little heart broken, never having someone insult him, never dealing with people who wish him harm. God knows I would.

Happy Birthday, Son. I love you more than words can possibly express.

I know many of you have children you love too. I know you also do what you do so you can provide them with the best lifestyle possible.

I agree with the Metaform though. You shouldn't post his pic here. It's just not a good idea, because there are a few folks here who don't have kids and for whatever reason might say fucked up stuff or do a photoshop job on him that will lead to a heated and horrible thread. There have been incidents before when people post pics of their kids in here just so you know if you decide not to take this advice, don't say you weren't warned.

Trust me better to be safe than sorry. You don't want your little angel's pic anywhere near a place called Go Fuck Yourself.

Thanks for the advice on having his photo posted. I guess I always believe that deep down, the majority of people are good people. If posting pics of our children causes immature posters to do horrible things I'm much better off to take it down than to kick the living shit out of someone that manipulates my son's photo in some disgusting way.

Defending my son is definitely something I'd literally take someone's life for... if necessary.

I'm sure all real dad's feel the same.

We are sitting at lunch when my daughter casually mentions that she and her husband are thinking of "starting a family". "We're taking a survey,? she says, half-joking. "Do you think I should have a baby?"

"It will change your life," I say, carefully keeping my tone neutral. "I know," she says, "no more sleeping in on weekends, no more spontaneous vacations...."

But that is not what I meant at all. I look at my daughter, trying to decide what to tell her. I want her to know what she will never learn in childbirth classes. I want to tell her that the physical wounds of child bearing will heal, but that becoming a mother will leave her with an emotional wound so raw that she will forever be vulnerable.

I consider warning her that she will never again read a newspaper without asking, "What if that had been MY child?"

That every plane crash, every house fire will haunt her. That when she sees pictures of starving children, she will wonder if anything could be worse than watching your child die.

I look at her carefully manicured nails and stylish suit and think that no matter how sophisticated she is, becoming a mother will reduce her to the primitive level of a bear protecting her cub.

"Mom!" will cause her to drop a soufflé or her best crystal without a moment's hesitation.

I feel I should warn her that no matter how many years she has invested in her career, she will be professionally derailed by motherhood. She might arrange for childcare, but one day she will be going into an important business meeting and she will think of her baby's sweet smell. She will have to use every ounce of her discipline to keep from running home, just to make sure her baby is all right.

I want my daughter to know that everyday decisions will no longer be routine. That a five year old boy's desire to go to the men's room rather than the women's at McDonald's will become a major dilemma. That right there, in the midst of clattering trays and screaming children, issues of independence and gender identity will be weighed against the prospect that a child molester may be lurking in that restroom.

However decisive she may be at the office, she will second-guess herself constantly as a mother. Looking at my attractive daughter, I want to assure her that eventually she will shed the pounds of pregnancy, but she will never feel the same about herself. That her life, now so important, will be of less value to her once she has a child. That she would give it up in a moment to save her offspring, but will also begin to hope for more years - not to accomplish her own dreams, but to watch her child accomplish theirs.

I want her to know that a cesarean scar or shiny stretch marks will become badges of honor. My daughter's relationship with her husband will change, but not in the way she thinks.

I wish she could understand how much more you can love a man who is careful to powder the baby or who never hesitates to play with his child. I think she should know that she will fall in love with him again for reasons she would now find very unromantic.

I wish my daughter could sense the bond she will feel with women throughout history who have tried to stop war, prejudice and drunk driving.

I hope she will understand why I can think rationally about most issues, but become temporarily insane when I discuss the threat of nuclear war to my children's future.

I want to describe to my daughter the exhilaration of seeing your child learn to ride a bike. I want to capture for her the belly laugh of a baby who is touching the soft fur of a dog or a cat for the first time.
I want her to taste the joy that is so real it actually hurts.

My daughter's quizzical look makes me realize that tears have formed in my eyes.

"You'll never regret it," I finally say. Then I reach across the table squeeze my daughter's hand and offer a silent prayer for her, and for me, and for all of the mere mortal women who stumble their way into this most wonderful of callings. This blessed gift from God . . . that of being a Mother.

Please share this with a Mom that you know or a future mom you know.

It's going to be great, I'm sure. Today will be just him, my ex-wife, and myself. Then on Saturday will have a big party for him and his little friends. Hopefully the weather will cooperate and we can have a "Jumps for Joy" for the kids to play in.

I see a lot of great dads, but I also see guys who don't care and never visit their kids if they get divorced. I can't understand that. I don't see how they can live with themselves. When I'm not with my son I think about him dozens of times each day and make a point to call at least once a day. I also usually call his mother each night to hear about how his day went.

I only photograph models who are 18 or older and have proof of ID and fill out a very detailed model release form.

FYI: I photograph models as old as I can find them (in their 60's if I can find them). If I could find models 30-70 I'd be so busy shooting them for clients that I wouldn't have time for anything else.
