3rd party commenting systems for wordpress?
What's out there for options in the way of third party wordpress comment systems? I know I've seen a few on different sites, wish i could remember where now though. Google just keeps turning up boatloads of comment plugins, but nothing along the lines of what I'm thinking. I know i've seen services where users can signup and have an accoutn good for posting on any site suing the plugin. That's what I want. Something seperate and away from my own wordpress install for people to post through.

I'm thinking along the lines of Disqus, JS-Kit, or Intense Debate.
Disqus seemed to be the largest(at least they were the first), but I guess Wordpress themselves recently acquired the IntenseDebate platform, who's popularity is slowly on the rise. I'm kind of leaning towards using IntenseDebate because I have faith that they will become the primary 3rd party system of choice for WP comments as time goes on. But Disqus is established. Anyone have any experience with these care to throw their opinion into the mix before I settle on one? |
