![]() Have you ever waited for important email, wondering why they aren't answering, only to find that they have answered really timely but it went to your gmail spam folder, which you never check because you get 5 spams emails per minute there?

I hope this is not true!
Just had our spam software on the server start blocking many good emails. I was told to signup for the google app to run all emails into! Hummm

Yeah gmail does it. I filter e mails through it and quite a few legit e mails get blocked, I end up logging into it and checking often. Not only that, but even after I have marked our newsletters as 'not spam' each week it ends up in there.... it blows

Not lately, it seems to have been going on forever. I know a few people who lost the opportunity to get a job from me cause they used gmail as their business email account and my proposal ended up in their junk mail folder. I never received a response so I went with a different provider. Anyone doing business and using gmail is laughable.

![]() I have had the problem in the past, not so much recently.
I typically will check my spam folders a couple of times a day. Nothing in detail. A simply skim at subject headers and senders. Then I will clear it out. This helps me catch any legit emails I need to catch from models with picture attachments, or proposals and what not. |

I wonder why we assume junk mail filters are perfect.
What a filter would do if sender is using a technique/method to send email which is often used by spammers?

has anyone found a way around it?
Right now i have 10+ domains, each of them 5+ years old, with catch-all on all of them, all pointed to gmail, that's resulting in about 5 spam emails per minute on average. 300 spam emails per hour ![]() |

heh Gmail offers serious business options. You can also point any domain there and do pretty much anything you might ever need, backed up by 1000s of servers. Beat that? ![]() p.s. even with the problem im experiencing here, their spam filter is still one of the best, because it's being helped by millions of people marking stuff as spam |

I've been reading the forums for about the last 7 weeks while I decide if moving into something to do with porn is a good idea but this thread has finally made me get round to actually registering.
The Gmail filter started going bonkers for me a while ago and I lost quite a lot of emails into the spam folder without realising as I have Outlook Express fetching the emails to me by POP3 and never log in through the webmail pages. A solution that will stop things disappearing into spam from where everything is cleaned out after 30 days is to set up a filter in the mail settings. The bad point about this solution is that every last email that seems to have been written by a comedy Indian that wants you to have success in bed / get a huge member / buy a rolex / meet Natalya the stunning Russian will end up in your inbox instead of being filtered out. To disable the spam filter Login to Gmail, make sure the page is set on Standard View, then go to Settings » Filters » Create a new filter There are 5 fields
Then click Next Step, you will then get a popup box saying Quote:
On the next page there are 7 tick-boxes
All done. You may now get spammed to death and regret setting up the filter because of that, but you won't lose anything legit that you didn't want deleting automatically without your knowledge. |

it should be routine for everyone to quickly scan through their spamboxes often to check for legit emails that mistakenly ended up in there
